Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born and raised in small, modest Osnabrück and moved to beautiful Cologne six years ago where I did my Bachelor studies. In parallel, I worked at another film production and was able to gain a lot of experience.

Now, I've landed on Parasol Island and I'm looking forward to everything that's coming.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
Even as a child, I loved order and structure. I think these are important elements for a producer. I love to interact with people and I'm a very open-minded person. The feeling of "having things in hand", structuring, coordinating and organizing makes me happy.
With every project you develop further – you never stop learning.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
If I ever get bored, it’s when there is not much to do.
Positive kind of stress is what makes me leave my comfort zone. I like to be thrown in at the deep end.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Object of desire: good coffee. Of course, from a portafilter machine. It's actually at the top of my list of things I'm going to treat myself to.br /> What really moves me is the exchange with different people. I love to get to know them with their personalities and own story. Talking about our lives, fears, hopes, desires.
Fancy coffee and a nice conversation? Let me know!

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
To be honest, I'm still the analogue type of person. My constant companion at work is my notebook. I like to check off my tasks and cross things out. That gives me a liberating feeling. It’s always nice to sit down in the evening with a glass of wine and browse through my notebook.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
What else? Instagram is one of the most frequent platforms I visit during the day. The platform gives me inspiration, but also offers space to capture moments and memories and share them with others. I like the exchange with friends or even new people. Even more, I like to meet people in real life.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
Music and books are super important in my everyday life. In the morning on the way to Düsseldorf, I start with good music (Sticky Fingers puts me in a good mood or good old classic 1990s), and I end my day with a good book (preferably socially critical literature; last book was Dschinns by Fatma Aydemir). .

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
A place called Buxtehude (one of the 200 German cities that offer a cute old town as their unique specialty). Soon to be “Berliner” as I’m heading towards the ten year mark of calling Berlin my home. Spent the last couple of years in Content Management at Elbkind Reply, now headed towards exciting projects with you.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? A foresighted workflow, a sense for good content, tech affinity and lots of experience in automotive topics. By doing things I’ve never done before. I like the learning by doing approach supported by the exchange with experts in the respective fields.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Loading screens or any badly designed tech that is a time-waster.
Innovations that improve my everyday life so I can focus on the important things

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Oddly specific maybe: Sichuan Chinese Cuisine. Changed my perception of how intense food can taste. Will hopefully become a master chef soon. Cooking and/or sharing great food with friends is something I don’t want to miss.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My iPhone.
Wolt.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? YouTube. It’s the perfect mix of entertainment, education and absolute nonsense.
Offline: Friends, family and a Shiba Inu called Kitsu (I’m a dog uncle).

What music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss? I’m one of (probably) too many DJs in Berlin and therefore quite influenced by dance oriented music: Disco, House, Techno, Trance,... you name it.
Also very passionate about Ambient music so here is an all time classic: https://aphextwin.bandcamp.com/album/selected-ambient-works-volume-ii

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
Most recently, I worked for a media team in a consulting firm that believes in improving collaboration to empower people and organisations in new ways of working. In the future, I will support you guys in creating emotional designs and content for exciting clients.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
Communication, planning, negotiating and supporting my team in any way I can are some of my key skills. I love to grow with new colleagues, projects, clients and of course training in all disciplines.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
I'm easily bored by uninspired designs, ideas and clients who are not open to trying something new.
I'm thrilled when I can watch my team produce amazing work. And, if I have enough time, I love riding my motorbike through stunning curvy roads.
Good concerts.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
A new motorcycle, which I'll probably never be able to afford until my kids leave home. But that’s okay, because my kids are what really moves me.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
My smartphone and new AI applications like Chat-GPT.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
YouTube and Instagram maybe, and offline I love to meet my best friends from Hamburg and Düsseldorf.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the classics you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
I don't read that much, but I'm hopefully going to finish Das Ende der Ehe by Emilia Roig soon.
I love bands like Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot or Bad Religion and for concentration Hauschka, Son Lux or Caribou. My classic recommendation could be the LP Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I'm originally from the Ruhr area and – like most people from there – I consider myself quite well grounded.
At some point I was drawn out into the world – first to New Jersey for my last year in high school, moved on to beautiful Oregon for one semester at the university and finished my studies in Düsseldorf.
After starting my professional career in Düsseldorf I moved on to Barcelona, and for the past 16 years I have remained in Berlin.
Now that I'm finally able to work for Parasol Island, I'm happy to be back in Düsseldorf more often. To be honest, I sometimes miss the humour of the Rhinelanders in Berlin.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
The fact that I've worked in agencies as well as in film productions means that I'm quite good at mediating between all the different departments which work together on a production.
Diplomacy is one of my assets – along with my long professional experience.
In our fast-moving industry, today's knowledge can be outdated tomorrow already. I like to keep my finger on the pulse of current affairs and technological development – which is exactly what I find so exciting about Parasol Island.
People at PSL are already thinking and working in a fully digital way and I want to learn from them.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
I'm bored to death by the widespread motto: "We've always done it this way". Whereas I'm inspired by international pioneers.
Last month I was lucky again to meet some international people at the Ciclope Festival and exchange ideas. What are digital natives in Brazil launching or what IT pioneers from China are already incorporating into mobile apps – these are inspiring topics for me.
In comparison, a lot of what we in Germany see as the "hottest shit" is pretty much old-school in comparison.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
The most important "thing" for me is education; to evolve every day.
I'm currently working on my Spanish skills. This language is really a good example to the "many exceptions to the rule" – that's what makes it so much harder to master and is my daily challenge. Learning keeps the mind active. Which is a good thing.

What makes me really happy is when I can directly apply what I have just learned. My goal: Agree with a Spanish director on his treatment in Castilian, this way we can we come to a common denominator much faster.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Our Vespa Elettrica is a very important gadget in order to reach far away appointments in Berlin on time and of course in an environmentally friendly fashion. Driving a car in Berlin during rush hour – not a very good idea!
The app I currently use most is Apple Health – it helps me to be fit for those challenging projects. By the way I am still good at maintaining my 10.000 steps per day. Furthermore I like the Balloon, Headspace and Gardena Irrigation app.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Duolingo.com, lingq.com and yr.no/en (much more reliable than Apple's weather spp).
f course I check out the news on spiegel.de the same way as on bild.de to get a broad idea of what's currently happening.
Since I started at PSL I would say Google Mail and My Parasol Island 😂.
I meet my family and friends offline, who else? If I answer my cell phone too often in this "offline environment" I get told off and everyone wants to prescribe to me a digital detox immediately. Not always an easy undertaking combining the analog and digital world.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss?
Männer in Kamelhaarmänteln – I like Elke Heidenreich, I wonder why? Is it because she grew up in Essen or her great grasp of the little things in life?
Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung? – helped me in many situations. It's just one of those books which can be read the way you like it: It works superficially and also if you want to go more into depth.
Musically speaking I am very, very old school: For sports I like French lounge music. During the day a nice mix of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s tunes.
I like to listen to most songs from the Great American Songbook or a nice selection of Mexican or Cuban "boleros y musica del ayer" for dinner parties or at the end of a long working day.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born and raised in Düsseldorf but moved to Berlin three months ago, where I'm headed now.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? As I finished my apprenticeship at Parasol Island, I brought the most important skill to the company, which is a great vibe and unique culture that I was also able to experience during my first time on the island. Additionally I am skilled in the field of Influencer Relations, Social Media Management / Marketing and Project Management. I would love to dive deeper into more analytic and agile processes and love to be challenged in new situations in general.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
I am pretty bored of non authentic people. My adrenaline level rises as soon as someone in front of me drives so slowly that they cause a huge traffic jam.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My current object of desire is basically everything interior as I just moved in.
The present political situation in the world moves me a lot and often makes me overthink the simple things in life.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My airpods pro are pretty indispensable as well as really good snacks on a long ride. It may sound boring but Google has basically always a solution (can't recommend when searching for illness symptoms)

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Definitely notion.so to keep my chaotic mind full of visions and ideas together.
Very basic but meeting friends and family is my no.1 offline activity.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss? I am still finishing the book IKIGAI which is about the Japanese way of living. My type of music varies a lot and depends on my mood but I am currently loving the Indie genre a lot (reminds me of summer).

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Born and bred in Rottweil, studied in the Netherlands, Bali and Thailand, former intern in London and now based in Düsseldorf. Where to next? I like getting surprised!

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Positive mindset, creative strategic thinking, organisational talent combined with an intercultural sensitivity. Working outside my comfort zone helps me develop my talents, either if that is a new city, new people or simply standing on a ladder (yes, I’m afraid of heights).

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
All-inclusive Hotels. What ramps my adrenaline level are new video uploads by Creative Director Sam Kolder and hitting the slopes in Japan.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? An E-Piano! I played the piano as a child and really missed making music during lockdown. I hope by the time I call one my own, it won’t collect dust in the basement. Talking about music; a good opera or theatre play moves me as much as a great techno-festival.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My headphones and the app Citymapper, a public transit app. Without the app I would’ve been absolutely lost in London. It even lets you choose to avoid dimly lit areas – how great is that?!

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? YouTube. If I’m not online, I love to meet up with old friends from home, talking a bit of Swabian (local accent) and enjoying the Rottweiler Fasnet (Carneval).

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss? Podcasts such as “Gemischtes Hack” or “Fest und Flauschig”. It’s my perfect weekly dose of infotainment and helps me to switch off after a long day. A movie trilogy you don’t want to miss out is “Before Sunrise”, “Before Sunset” and “Before Midnight” directed by Richard Linklater with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. An authentic portrayal of love with each entry relishing the good, the bad, and the ugly that comes with it..

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I started taping commercials on VHS when I was a teenager. Well, I always had a great passion for advertising. I got my first job at Jung von Matt in the 1990s more or less by accident, when the agency was still in its baby shoes, when we had no internet there but fax and only one layer in Photoshop. I have spent the last 4,5 years in HR at BBDO – mainly growing an international team with talents from all over the world.

Let me say it with a quote from C.S. Lewis, "Onward and Upward!"

What skills do you bring to the company, how would you want to develop your talents?
Positivity, empathy, pragmatism when needed and I even know how to run a campsite from my former job experience.

The opportunity to learn and to develop your talents further never stops. Rather, it is a journey that never ends throughout our lives. It always starts with motivation and listening!

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Too much theory, I’m a fan of hands-on mentality.
People taking themselves too seriously.
Opera!?

Skiing, a good thriller or horror movies.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
The Icon Coat by Max Mara.
People and emotions, society change.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
The iphone, of course. And a blanket and a pillow.
Google and Netflix.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Unspectacular, probably some fashion shopping sites – I love clothes!

Anyone I can meet offline!

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
Karsten Dusse's Achtsam morden – and just started his sequel Das Kind in mir will achtsam morden.
German Hip Hop, Miley Cyrus, Robin Schulz, Greta van Fleet and Kate Bush. Classics from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Amy Winehouse and Boney M.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?

I was born in Mostowskoi, Russia and moved to Germany when I was three years old or so. I’ve been raised in a (not so small anymore) village called Ibbenbüren, NRW. After finishing school I wanted to study something that would give me the possibility to create and be creative, I choose architecture and moved to Bochum. After my studies I worked as an architect for about four year and moved to Düsseldorf. After two years of full-time work, I decided that I was in need of more room for art and creativity and started my master at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in the Baukunst Klasse. During this time I already done a lot of photography (started with analog film, so all those super old cams are my ultimate guilty pleasure). This all involved into working freelance in different fields and for different people. Last September I was facing – let’s call it- a pre-midlife crisis. I realized I want to work in the creative field and leave the Baubranche. Things added-up, some friends told me about the P-Island and now im here. Hyped and looking forward to work with amazing people and to learn and evolve. Also I want to use the opportunity to move to Berlin and join the office there at some point of the journey.
If you read this whole text until here – congrats you certified Player 1 now.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I love to dive into new experiences, helping out with my creative eye and bring things further. And that’s also what I want to develop.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Wasting my time ("Deutsche Bahn – harte Hassliebe und Menschen, die Animes in GerDub schauen").
Everything with heights. (I always thought that I’m afraid of heights but a second later you'll find me at the top of a mountain wearing Chucks).

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
No object that would give you a better understanding of myself – but people that are talking right out of passion and sharing their experience, that is something that moves me.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Empathy. Empathy.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
I love Tumblr (underrated and forgotten). "Stars & Sternchen" from my life.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
At the moment I’m not reading a book, but I’m listening to a lot of music (always). Recommendations (if not already known): MAC MILLER, Tyler the Creator, Kaytranada, FKA Twigs, Masego, Rosalia, Brent Faiyaz, Kendrick Lamar, MCR-T*

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?

I'm a Düsseldorfer Mädsche and a child of the 1990ies. I recently moved to the countryside and I am heading to the island now.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I navigate through a stormy sea with a cool head and I bring a positive attitude to the table. I find creative ways of solving problems and I am trained to divide my attention to multiple tasks at a time. I am looking forward to exploring new perspectives with you. I want to grow personally and professionally with each new task.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
A task-less day bores me to death. My adrenaline spikes while galloping through the countryside with my horse..

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
My dream is a cottage on a sunny island. My passion is my little Icelandic Horse. I love to spend every free minute in nature.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
My super gadgets are a screwdriver and an afternoon snack box. WhatsApp keeps my daily life together.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Off work I keep it mostly offline and like to spend time with my little family, my friends and my horse.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
At the moment I enjoy Sebastian Fitzek's Das Kind and Brianna Wiest's 101 Essays, die dein Leben verändern.
Music – depending on the occasion, everything between electronic tunes, Michael Jackson and Die Toten Hosen.
Classics are for me every Quentin Tarantino movie and everything with Jack Nicholson; as a song Gangsta's Paradise from Coolio, in terms of books Erik Axl Sund's Victoria Bergman Serie.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
Although I spent some time abroad in Italy and South Korea, I was born and raised in Berlin and will probably always come back if life takes me somewhere else. Professionally I started as Social Media Manager in an agency but grew into a digital strategist over the years. Hopefully I will someday end up in a leading position to innovate and make a positive impact on our digital society ... "someday"!

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? A fundamental and detailed understanding of social media and other digital operations paired with conceptual and presentational skills. I hope to develop my insightful entertainment skills and enchanting strategy skills. Or was it the other way around?

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Nothing is more boring than lockdown/social distancing. I long for occasions with as many close friends and/or entertaining new people as possible.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Any electronic device/app where I can listen to music or educational podcasts. I need INPUT!

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? ? I fall into YouTube rabbit holes way too often. I wish I could say it's all about science and politics but too often I just keep on viewing the same scenes from my favourite films/show over and over and over and over... Friends, family and hopefully cool, new colleagues are my offline heroes.

What films and shows are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
Trending: How to sell drugs online, Ozark, The Expanse, Tenet, The Gentleman, South Park, Fleabag. Classics: Snatch, Scrubs, Futurama, Lucky Number Slevin, Predestination, The Newsroom, Lammbock, The Other Cops.

I do: CharacterDesign, Storyboarding, 2D Animation(TVPaint, but open for new things), 3D Modeling (Zbrush, Maya, MarvelousDesigner), Texturing (Substance Painter), Rigging (Maya, would love to start Houdini), Animation (Maya, , would love to start Houdini), and a little bit of Rendering (Maya).

I would love to add to that everything related to bringing characters to life, like Grooming, MuscleSim, ClothSim, CrowdSim and all sorts of CharacterFX. And I would love to be able to do that in different industry leading software packages like Houdini, Ziva, Blender etc.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Like for everybody else, for me the most boring thing is probably doing the same thing over and over again. Even if it was animation, I couldn't do it for years in a row. The only thing that keeps my mental health stable is probably learning.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
My wife and my motorcycle!

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
I would like to say that there is no such thing, but its likely to be the iPhone with its browser.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? ?
CGChannel.com, Welt.de, Zeit.de, Artstation.com and some others I don't want to tell...

Apparently I am never offline, like most people. But I do meet people. Most of the time these are family, friends and co-workers – but occasionally I also meet strangers that I don't talk to.

What films and shows are you enjoying at the moment? What are the classic you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
I love science fiction and fantasy. It takes you away the best from all the crap that goes on in the world and takes you to fictional crap that doesn't matter. Right now it is Vakuum from Phillip Peterson.
Music is difficult...
Everyone should see (or read): Bloodsport. Karate Tiger 1, ET, Goonies, IT, and that really old movie with that alien that eats everyone.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I'm originally from the north of France, I grew up in a small village called Cuffies, which is like one hour north from Paris. I also lived in Lille for a long time before moving to Berlin five years ago. As for my future, it remains a perpetual question mark, but I'm certain of how I aspire to be: endlessly curious and open-minded.
A home at a sunny place with ocean view would be a life goal for me.

What skills would you bring to the company, how would you want to develop your talents?
I bring my tech skills to the team, focusing mainly on frontend tasks for client projects. Beyond that, I've got experience in project management and website maintenance and will take care of various tech tasks. My background includes a shift from IT sales and recruiting to becoming a software developer, with nearly two years at a Berlin startup where I managed the website and mobile app with a team. My goal is to keep exploring the latest frameworks and methods in web development, so I can offer great advice on tech projects and, of course, make my code look slick and stylish.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Bores me to death: Big shopping malls. .
Ramps my adrenaline level: Playing music in front of a crowd. I play from time to time in Berlin clubs and I really enjoy it. I also love to go to the stadium to watch football or basketball, always fun.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Current object of desire: Expanding my collection of records and setting up a home studio. I started music production with my younger brother last year, and we hope to release some tracks this year, blending elements of house, techno, and hip-hop. In the long run, I dream of establishing my own record label.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Stack Overflow and GitHub are like two bibles giving constant coding solutions – I had to mention it. Another indispensable gadget: the Shazam app.

What website do you visit frequently, whom do you meet offline?
Discogs or Bandcamp to look for new music.
I meet my friends a lot, when you live abroad they become like a second family. With some I have long and deep conversations at the bar, with others I go to exhibitions, and with some others I do some sports, this is how I find my balance!

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss?
Book: Kallocain is a dystopian novel where a chemist's creation of a truth serum exposes the inner thoughts and emotions of citizens in a totalitarian society, sparking resistance against the oppressive regime.
Music: I'm currently revisiting the works of my favorite French rapper, Alpha Wann. Additionally, I'm always enjoying an old school rap and R&B playlist that lasts 24 hours.
Selecting just one classic is a tough task, so here is a compilation of influential house music tracks that have left a mark on me. Cast Of Thousands: The Sun Will Shine (Victor Simonelli Club RMX), Underground Resistance: Hard Life, Ron Trent & Chez Damier: Teach Me, Keep Me, Laurent Garnier: The Man With The Red Face, Joel Mull: Close 2 You, Rachmad Project: Summer Breeze.

I'm from Osnabrück. I'm also half Armenian because my mother is Armenian from the neighboring country Georgia.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I'm a very open minded and communicative person and for this type of job that might be important.

People without diversity, if they do not want to question themselves and develop their minds. Also having one-sided conversations.

Definitely roller coasters!

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My current object of desire is probably to start a new chapter in Düsseldorf, to find new hobbies and for sure to make a clean job. I think for me it was the best decision to move away from Osnabrück and further develop myself here.

My most important gadget is my mobile phone because I have a lot of family all over the world and with my phone I can call them with the video function.
For solutions I always use Google.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born in Neuss. After university, I quickly moved to Munich, then to Hamburg and now back home after a short stopover of about 1.5 years at sea. My plan here is to continue to settle in and experience the city as a "grown up".

My favorite musician is Harry Styles. I was already a hardcore One Direction fan as a small thirteen year old girl. An absolute classic song from Harry is Adore You.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I grew up in a small town in the Ruhr area and then moved to Essen. I have been living in Düsseldorf for over three years now, and I think I am here to stay.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
One could say that I'm extremely relaxed and almost never lose my composure. Additionally, I strive to have a holistic perspective and consider things from various angles and positions. According to my girlfriend, I'm quite adept at mental calculations.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Lectures on the advantages and disadvantages of statutory health insurance versus private health insurance.
Water parks and therefore water slides.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Definitely a dog, preferably a Corgi or wire-haired Dachshund.
Currently, what moves me the most is the preparation for my first marathon, along with the highs and (especially) lows that come with it
.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Airpods and Chat GPT.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?

whosampled.com and reviersport.
Friends and people I can run and hang out with.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
Books: Not quite sure yet if I truly enjoy it, but atm I read Die Macht der Geographie.
Music: Currently, I'm listening to the new Arlo Parks album, but I'm sure this fact will be outdated by the time you read this, and I also listen to a lot of Soulection Radio. There's so much you shouldn't miss out on, but the earlier SoundCloud peak (Soulection influenced) and a good portion of disco and Motown tracks are definitely part of it.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I just came back from a walk with our new dog, Motte. We got her four weeks ago and she’s super anxious but we’re getting there. Originally, I’m from Krefeld. Right now, I’m heading towards a promising island! Seems like they like good food over there.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
First and foremost I bring my cooking skills. As a trained chef with 17 years of experience in all kinds of establishments, I think I’ll be able to serve you some nice to awesome meals. Additionally, I’ve got some skills in Audio Engineering, having worked as a stagehand, an audio engineer at Sprachlabor and other facilities.
I also make some pretty good popsicles with my wife! You can check us on Insta, the name is Stieldiele.
I’d like to develop my talents regarding vegan cooking and patisserie. Those are my two weakest spots and I’d like to improve here, so I can provide you with awesome desserts and offer inclusive meals instead of just substituting meat.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Bookkeeping and doing taxes bore me to death..
Music ramps up my adrenaline levels, especially Drum & Bass.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
My current object of desire is a small mixing desk, the Studer/Revox C279. I love old analog audio gear.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
There’s lots of indispensable tools for me as a chef. The most important one is, of course, my chef’s knife. Other honorable mentions are: hand blender, Microplane graters, citrus press.
When it comes to non-kitchen tools, it’s probably my Airpod Pro. My wife and I have a very old and loud car so the noise cancelling is a real treat while driving long distances.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?

Since Twitter has been run into the ground my most frequented website is probably Reddit, to get my daily dose of doom scrolling.
Offline I meet my friends and family. I’m very close with my brother Martin and we have a little Pen & Paper round going on. We meet every Tuesday to play Das schwarze Auge. At the moment we’re trying to rid the city of Greifenfurt of evil Orcs occupying it.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss?
Book: Die Faltung der Welt by Anders Levermann. He’s a scientist researching economic growth in a world with limited resources in the context of the climate crisis. I hope to gain new insights on how to grow my own popsicle business in a responsible way.
Music: Amber Mark, Three Dimensions Deep; Caroline Polachek, Desire, I want to turn into you.
Classics everyone needs to know: Billy Joel, The Longest Time; Toto, I’ll supply the love; Gwen McCrae, All this love that I’m giving, Fleetwood Mac, Everywhere; Tamia, So Into You.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a tranquil village near Paderborn called Lippstadt. After stops in the Sauerland and Ruhr region I stranded in Düsseldorf. I finished a master in photography and was working more than two years as a producer in Düsseldorf lately. My next goal is to explore the island step by step.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Intentness, self-dependance and readiness of mind. I won’t lose my organising abilities even in stressful situations. A strong coffee and black humour are my weapons against chaos taking over. Now I’m open to face new adventures – if you don't go forward, you go backwards.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Slow people drive me nuts. I'm almost never bored in my leisure time – and if I that would happen I’d call it luxury.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?I have no list of objects of desire. If I want something, then it is a very spontaneous decision from the heart. My list of things that I do not need is definitely longer.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?Of course my mobile – they say a phantom telephone ping is a widespread disease nowadays – so at least I’m not alone. The internet offers pretty much madness, but also most of the time a solution for everything. My laptop is another favorite gadget: With the silver bullet Photoshop I can solve almost any visual problem.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Facebook and Instagram are probably a lot more than websites. They are the anchor point for social life, stalking instrument and deflection magnet. After the first coffe, ready fore more content, W&V, Lead Digital and Horizont are on my list. Almost forgot Amazon – what would life be without online shopping? When the batteries of mobile and laptop are empty, I go to the movies, exercise or meet friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? My ebook is full of crime thrillers. Simon Beckett, Stieg Larsson, Cody McFadyen. Currently I read Sebastian Fitzeks "Noah". My playlist is as wild and colorful as my wardrobe, but especially full of Rock and Alternative. Guitars, drums and a handsome bass player - that is music. And: Everyone should see The Black Keys live.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Well, in terms of career I’m looking back on 13 years of hustling through all different kinds of agencies. Born and raised in the Münsterland, true Westphalian. Hoping to find a new home here on the Island.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Call me cross-disciplinary strategist, if you like. Or just: the dude doing this … things. Always taking the broader view and looking for inspiration. So I might fare well here, right?

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m not into administrative work. Really not. Not at all. Only the cliché combo of coffee and music makes it tolerable. But feed me with food for thought, leave me to it and things will fall in place. No kidding.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Cars and bikes move me. Sounds like a cheap joke – but it’s really that simple. Right now I’m wrenching on an old Jeep named Claus. Claus hates me, I guess. Always broken, never working.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?None to be honest. Thought about it for a while, seems like the indispensable doesn’t exist yet. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? That must be stanceworks.com, a car thing again. In real life, it’s the typical family & friends situation. Like being surrounded by a bunch of favorite human beings, spending time in bars, kitchens and on concerts.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? Attack of nostalgia: read Der Abfall der Herzen, began listening to Muff Potter again, a band of my small-town youth. Try it, you’ll love it. Or hate it. One way or another, let me know, ok?

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
From a long journey, to a kingdom.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
Smell diamonds, harvest diamonds.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
No sparkle to smell, dull sound only.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
A room overlooking a city, epic silence after a good day.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Telephone, the one on the other end of the line.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Süddeutsche Zeitung. Family and other dream dancers.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
I often listen to the same songs, and usually prefer conversations to stories.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born within the Germanic-Rhaetian Limes and my heart still beats for the south.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I have my track record. But learning never stops.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? The traffic on the A46. To discover a fresh piece of music.

What's your current object of desire? A garage.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Headphones. A run in the nature.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Currently http://titlecapitalization.com – yeah Parasol's Radar… and of course: friends and family

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  All the classics I missed before.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
Auf Kohle geboren“, as we Pottkids like to say. From Gladbeck to Essen via New Zealand and New York now back to Bochum. 🤘 Headed out into the world, exploring – and hopefully back to New Zealand at some point.

What skills do you bring to the company? I can lick my elbow and I bet you can’t.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? People who believe they know it all, but actually don’t. Querdenker and ignorants ramp my adrenaline in a bad way – hiking and rollercoasters in a good way

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
I have my eyes currently set on a longbow. Words in all forms and shapes move me.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
My laptop and my phone. If I’m looking for a solution, YouTube is my go-to, or my dad. He always has a solution or at least calming words to get me to find it.

What website do you visit frequently?
Instagram, YouTube, Goodreads, Nerdist.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
Reading: The Farseer Trilogy by Robin Hobb
Listening: Dermot Kennedy
Classic: Macbeth

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
From the great town Quadrath-Ichendorf (I don’t think an English name exists). But it’s a real town, look it up.
I’m heading to the kitchen now, maybe client next, Cannes hopefully soon :) and one day heaven, I hope.
I mean the sky is the limit.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I have a media, strategy and of course creative background. Thus, I hope to bring some disruptive thinking, good times and great creative stuff to the table. I definitely need to develop my barista skills and apart from that I hope to deepen my creative knowledge here and learn some new tricks along the way.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?

I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but keeping track of my working hours is one of the most boring tasks.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Nothing in particular, since I have the problem of buying random and unnecessary stuff too often. But currently I’m watching a lot of photography stuff, which makes me want to switch up my gear, even if I don’t have to.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
I think my phone, though I really want to spend less time with it.
Besides that, a pen and paper are indispensable tools that I don’t want to miss.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?

I spend a lot of time on Instagram and sometimes even find myself wasting too much time on TikTok. Offline I spend time with family and friends and on Sundays you’ll find me at the church.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
Shoe Dog by Phil Knight is a book that really inspired me.
The Alchemist is rightfully a classic and I think the Bible is underrated for life lessons.
For music it is vintage Kanye and Mac Ayres for some mellow tunes.
