Where do you come from, and where are you headed? In addition to my computer science studies, I worked freelance as a web developer. After that I got into a digital agency mostly dedicated to the gaming industry. Out of that with two of my colleagues we founded our own company with a wider range of software services and had some exciting projects. Sadly I had to leave the company for reasons of economic disagreements but we're still friends though. Freelancing again I had come to the point where I don't want to work alone as an one-man-army anymore. So I'm looking forward to work on awesome projects with a skilled team and in a structured environment.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
So far I have gained a lot of experience in various areas from software architecture to project and account management and sometimes got my hands on design and UX. The small size of teams most of the time had me to fill multiple positions at once. I bring the typical dev-stack as I always did a lot of development by myself but I also like to look over the edge of the plate and see the whole thing. My greatest strength would be my ability to understand what people want and what they really need and bring those together, with the tech in mind but not necessary on the table. How do I want to develop? Well, there is definitely a lot to learn in all of these areas and as knowledge is power I'm trying to get it at least over 9000.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Doing the same thing over and over is definitely going to bore me and as long as I'm not limited in time or budget, I'd rather spend 5 hours to automate a job that I could do in 1 hour by hand. It should be either an exciting problem or at least a creative solution to a trivial one. For a really strong adrenaline rush I recommend having someone kill the live DB on a midnight release without having a proper backup.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
I'm thinking about buying a used caravan and start road tripping Europe with my family this year. Going wherever you want, whenever you want to is something I'd enjoy and you have the chance to see more places than being stuck at one hotel for two weeks straight. Otherwise it's going to be a custom made bass guitar. We'll see.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
I would say you need two things: Gaffa tape and a smartphone. If you cant fix it with Gaffa its probably a digital problem, so you search the web for solutions. Amazon Alexa and the new smart-home technology are very interesting at the moment and I'd love to use it more but as my house is like 100 years old there is not as much capability as I'd desire..

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Like most others I'd say its Facebook but also Stackoverflow. And o/c google. I do not have any fancy, inspiring websites/persons that I follow. If I'm interested in something I just search for it and try to get a wide spectrum of knowledge and opinions on the topic. In the real world I usually just hang out with my friends and the band-

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
This section could get really long one but to keep it short: I like Rock music, mostly classic and post Rock. Last concert I attended was A Perfect Circle and I would recommend listening to the new Album Eat The Elefant. Also looking forward to the shows of Tool this year, they better have the new album coming. Caution, self-advertisement: If you want to checkout my own band PAVALLION just visit pavallion.de or stream it on all major services. Book-wise I'm into old school 1950s science fiction right now, pretty weird.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Born & raised in Haan City, near by Düsseldorf, not knowing at all where I will be in 10 years.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Besides creating new words and a positive mind, hopefully my structure and fresh point of view on processes can be an enrichment for the island. At the same time I`m always looking forward to push myself one step forward.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Ignorance & egocentrism ramps my adrenaline level in a negative way. Seeing my loved ones happy or unpacking a new pair of nikes fresh out the box does the same in a positive way.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? GoogleMaps saved my life several times.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? A mixture of spiegel-online.com, yoox.com & snekernews.com vs. meeting friends & family.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Finally, almost 2020, I`ve realized there is more music besides Sean Price, Dilated Peoples, Lord Finesse & Oasis as well as more books than Harry Potter…but classics will be classics..

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
From the middle of nowhere in Eastern Germany to a beautiful, yet to be discovered final destination.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I'm bringing unconventional solutions, a strong drive and empathy to the workplace while trying to create an atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable and exhilarated to work on the things they love as a team. Learning and growing in creative ways I never even considered before is my main goal for the year ahead.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
Selfies.
Memes.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My brain. If my brain lets me down, YouTube tutorials save my life.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? The website mapcrunch.com takes you to a random street view location anywhere in the world – whenever you feel sad in rainy Berlin, just click the button and go somewhere else! Generally, I am meeting every body I meet offline and only use online connections to stay in touch. And send memes.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
The book on my nightstand is called "Film Noir and the Cinema of Paranoia", interesting read! I am listening to a lot of 80s synth, electronic rock, post punk and new wave at the moment while Edgar Allan Poe's compendium of short stories is a true literary classic for me.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I’m from Bamberg, a lovely little town in Franconia and after making a stop in New York City for eight years, I am now happy to have made Berlin my home!

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I bring an open mind and the excitement for learning a lot of new skills. I have done everything from setting up a tripod at a TV shoot to managing clients, and now I am excited to bring it all together!

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Perfecting my Spanish skills is something that I am currently very passionate about. Being fully immersed into the Spanish culture during the last two months really moved me and made me happy:)

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
For me my Smartphone is the only gadget I really need. In terms of apps, I would say Google and Spotify.

I love reading refinery29.com and also fastcompany.com.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
Hard to say... Short version: Born in Lüdenscheid, not so far away from here. Raised in Omsk Siberia, Russia. Past seven years of my life I spent more or less in Freiburg.

Where am I headed? Phew, for now I am happy to be here on the Island. But I hope to travel to other exciting countries and cities, #deutscherpass. Plan for the next road trip: down the West Coast, California, USA..

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I am interested in a wide spectrum of film-making and would say that I am a good allrounder. I can organize in several languages, work independently and I love video shoots and edits with a good flow. But sometimes I just like to shoot stills. In addition, I am very interested in all the techie camera/computer stuff.
I would like to develop and improve myself, by learning from the experience of others. With all the things I'm interested in, I'd like to find out in which area I'm really gifted!.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Any letter from german offices bores me to death;
I get an adrenaline rush when traveling into the unknown when driving a car at its limits or while climbing, surfing, and snowboarding!

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Phew, if it has to be an object... I find myself having fun with technical things. As these often improve my workflow. On my current wishlist: The Sony a7s III or a7 IV, (not released until now), 15 inch MacBook Pro with touchbar.

What drives me is the desire to always grow, by using the time I have to live a life f purpose and value. Producing high-quality films, which are pleasing to the eye, but also with a message that move people and make them think.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Gaffa Tape must always be there, it can save the shoot.

GoogleMaps app always has a solution.

Whhat website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Definitely youtube.com and instagram.com

Offline, I love to hang out with friends playing some Basketball, Beach Volleyball or relax playing a game of billiards. Or else just a game night or deep talk.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
I have to admit, I'm not the type of person who is into reading books, but I like to listen to an audiobook or podcast. Music also plays an important role in my daily life. Since I've played drums myself for many years, that also has an influence on what I listen, I like hip hop with solid beats but also some ChillStep. Some Artist from my Spotify: NF, LZ7, Grits, GWF, Illenium, Group 1 Crew, Needtobreathe, O'Bros, ODESZA, Planetshakers / Boom, Skillet, TobyMac.

Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen? Tausche ewigen Small-Talk gegen wahren Meinungsaustausch, Monologe gegen Dialoge, Action-Flme gegen Indie-Movies, Schnarchnasen gegen gewitzten Humor und strenge Perfektion gegen kreative Virtuosität.

Meine aktuellen musikalischen Obsessionen: Julia Holter (Song: Feel You), Azymuth (Album: Light as a Feather), Little Wings (Album: Explains). Standard Musts: Keith Jarrett (Album: The Köln Concert – MEISTERWERK!), verschiedenes oder fast alles von Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Chet Baker und Nick Drake .

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? After graduating I lived in Brazil for 10 years, where I worked as a buyer and product manager for several fashion brands until I founded my own small company with two co-founders. Now I’m back in Germany for almost two years and did several projects long distance for the company I founded. But despite the positive aspects of having my own business, I miss the day to day interaction with colleagues in the office and learning from the experience of others and that’s why I applied for a job at Parasol Island, an inspiring company where I can face new challenges.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?? Over the years I improved my ability to build relationships and trust with different types of stakeholders, even if they have competing needs I can engage with a lot of diplomacy and manage priorities. I’m very stress resistant and remain approachable no matter the internal struggle.
I’m sure that I’ll learn a lot from my fellow colleagues. Being part of a team that manages challenging projects, which are very different from what I did until now, will help me develop my talents and get better in my profession.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Repetitive monologues without objective..
I love to binge-watch shows. I get very excited and just can't stop watching. Last one that I saw was La Casa de Papel (in Ger. Haus des Geldes).

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? I admit I’m a fashion victim, so my current object of desire is a certain designer handbag. Besides that, I’m  thinking about buying a Vespa.
Offline I like being surrounded by family and friends. My kids – literally.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Travel blogs & Instagram (like: cntraveler.com / travelandleisure.com / @beautifuldestinations) I love traveling and I’m always looking for new destinations and things to see. My current dream destination is Mexico, specially Tulum and Guanajuato.
Offline I like being surrounded by family and friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss? To be honest I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately, but I hear a lot of audiobooks. The last one I heard was from a thriller series by Andreas Gruber (Sneijder & Nemez). Until today the novels I enjoyed most reading, were from the Millennium Series by Stieg Larsson. I have a very eclectic music taste and like almost everything. But at the moment I like hearing Milky Chance and at home we hear a lot of reggae and Brazilian music like Caetano Veloso, Flavia Coelho and Criolo.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born in Düsseldorf and I still live here.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?? Positive vibes and a lot of motivation! I would like to improve my skills as far as possible and receive a lot of knowledge..

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Tabletop games that take way too long.
Slow drivers will get my adrenaline level very high!.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? All about fashion!

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My beanie that keeps myself warm all day is indispensable. Google always got a basic solution.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? A lot of fashion websites, I love to get inspired. Offline, I meet friends and family.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss? I loved the book Factfulness by Hans Rosling – it gives you a way more positive look on the world and is based on facts. I love a lot of genres in music, basically everything that gives you good vibes. Nobody should miss this type of music.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Originally from a small village in Lower Saxony, located between cornfields and the mesmerizing noise of the A2. Currently headed for losing the Junior in Junior Producer in the near future.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Massive passion for film. Goal-oriented, organized workflow. Cheerful, even when things get hectic. Hoping to participate in as many splendid projects as possible.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Coordinating and billing extras kills me. Small, rock’n’roll-esque car shoots make me love my job.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? An agave green, late 1960’s BMW 2002ti. Which is also what I hope will be moving me in the very near future.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Very oldschool - pen and notebook, simply because it never runs out of battery and it always keeps track of the things I may lose sight of.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Pitchfork & Youtube. Among all the kitten stuff there is some surprisingly interesting content to discover, i. e. Every frame a painting, Lessons from the Screenplay, Now you see it, Petrolicious.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? It seems like as I get older so does the music I enjoy. As for the past few weeks I’ve excessively listened to Funkadelic, Buddy Miles & Led Zeppelin, Kendrick & Oddisee when it comes to more recent stuff. In therms of essential classics… I guess if I had to pick 3 records to the notorious deserted island I’d say Miles Davis – Kind of Blue, Jimi Hendrix – Are you experienced & Bob Dylan – The freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. Oh and Books. I must admit that currently I’m reading nothing but the newspaper. Last book was Homo Faber though, loved it.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I'm from Duisburg and still living there. Maybe I’ll head to Düsseldorf soon.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Love, peace & harmony!

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m really bored of negative minds and permanently pessimistic people. What brings my adrenaline level up is turning an insane spontaneity idea in reality.
What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Traveling is what I really love and what I think grows you mentally and humanly because of all the experiences. Every time I travel I never come back the same person I was before.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? I always need my phone of course and my headphones too. Sport is my all time favorite to come down, clear my mind and get new power for every challenge.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? At the moment I visit Netflix frequently and the social media platforms but in the first way to check what the other people are doing. I always meet my friends and family.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? I like reading motivating books but honestly I’m more into music. I’m mostly enjoying RnB and Hip Hop but I even like a little Dance as well. I don’t really have classics because there are many songs I can’t live without. And the answer to all other questions on earth: DONGSI DÄNGSI!

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Overcoming a traumatic past I am headed into a brave new world.

Balls! I am from the most southern part of NRW, Bad Godesberg which is a part of Bonn. Although I am very excited to see where my journey on this very fine looking island takes me.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Curiosity. Up to an annoying level. I love to learn all the things. Like ALL THE THINGS.How did this get made? Who made it and why? I will try to keep this in check. Try. (btw: This also results in a ton of unnecessary knowledge)

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Prating, gossip and lying are definitely things I can live without.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? I am really excited about my nephew who will be born in 4 weeks. And my next Pizza. Being the guy who cried at the end of Toy Story 3, I can say that I am easily moved. But what graps me the most is people overcoming boundaries and finding together. Cheesy, I know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Espresso machine, camera and record player. (or any music playing device really). YouTube has 99.9% the solution for everything. (Want to know how to repair a twenty-year-old hydraulic pump? Bam! YouTube!).

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Well. YouTube. Duh!
Some nerds who I watch superhero movies with and my „normal“ friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? The The Three-Body Problem trilogy by Cixin Liu is some of the finest science fiction I have ever read. And for my dark humor fix I love me some Catch 22 and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Musically I also tend to be very curios. Experimental, world music, obscure classical music but also the good stuff such as philly sound, 70s rock, blues, 00s house, jazz etc. If you want you can check out Nujabes, Yusef Lateef, Anna Meredith, C.W. Stoneking, Noir Desir and Mariza if you haven’t already. Cheers!

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Originally from Sarajevo, I am now in my 21st year in Germany, hopefully on the road to success and happiness! ;)

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I would consider myself to be an open minded, creative and hard working fella with extensive knowledge when it comes to photography & post-processing. I would love to be able to make my talents count straight away but also learn from everyone that is willing to share his knowdlege with me – no matter in what field.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? If you want to bore me to death, put on a braindead TV show. My competitive nature and love for basketball get me pumped up every time I step on the court.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? A Leica camera would be something I would love to own sooner or later! Definitely my nephews. No matter how bad my day was, they can always brighten it right back up.

What gadget is indispensable? Without a doubt, my camera. Siri supposedly has an answer to everything but for me she just randomly calls people at night.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Reddit for all kinds of content, from news to movie reviews. Amazon for my shopping needs. Netflix for all those late nights with friends and good beer.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? When it comes to reading while taking the train I most often pick up a thriller by Simon Beckett but if I had to name a classic, I would recommend The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway. A classic when it comes to movies would be Memento by Christopher Nolan. Most of the time, I listen to my own playlist, which is a mixture of different genres, ranging from Hip Hop to Rock and electronic music.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? After my apprenticeship at Ubisoft I worked as a PR and Social Media Consultant at a small agency in Krefeld for more than a year. I’m really looking forward to strengthening my skills in all Social Media related fields such as creative, analytics or community and to broadening my horizon in advertising even more.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?I’m an open minded social media addict always looking for a challenge, I have an eye for new creative opportunities. It’s important for me to share opinions and knowledge from different perspectives. There’s always something new to learn.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? When it comes to politics or sports I can’t say I fancy either of them very much, but talk to me about The Legend of Zelda, pets – especially bunnies – or photography and I’m all ears.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? urrently there’s no object I’d say I really desire (except for some hot matcha tea while watching the latest episode of Mr Robot). Looking at old photographs I took always brings back memories of all the stories I created with family and friends, that’s what moves me.

What gadget is indispensable? Guess I couldn’t leave the house without my phone and headphones, Spotify’s always on a journey with me. I’d also like to recommend the skill Runde Mitleid you can use with Amazon‘s Echo device.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Most of the time when I’m online you can find me looking at pictures of adorable bunnies on Instagram or catching up with the latest gaming news on GameStar. In the offline world I love to meet up with friends at my favorite chocolaterie enjoying some of the best chocolates and coffees the city has to offer.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Whatever mood you’re in, Farin Urlaub (Racing Team) is always a good choice to listen to.

After taking an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in a fashion company, I started studying textile engineering. Regarding to my indispensable gadget, the application that always has a solution is Photoshop. You would not know it but PS nearly always has a solution for every unsuccessful photo.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Old but gold: I daily visit my Tumblr account checking subscriptions. Again and again each and everyday I get inspired and fullfill the moodboard of my mind.
Interpersonal relationships are meaning a lot to me. I can exchange and reflect thoughts and get up to date about the fashion industry and the music and art scene.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
My latest experience was at KKLD* as a Senior Account Manager, part of the Wunderman/WPP network, a creative integrated agency with a focus on digital and 360 campaigns. I gained good knowledge in automotive / future mobility, healthcare and luxury products, mainly in Haute Horologie. Prior to that I was able to cross paths with a variety of different work fields within marketing, ranging from corporate (not so much my thing) to smaller startup internet companies as well as other agencies such iris Worldwide and Metia. I moved to Berlin in 2017, after 9 years in London and a short (though long felt) 1-year stop in Munich. I can safely say I found my long term base in Berlin, I love this city. I am looking forward to further developing my acquired versatile skill set with Parasol Island and its team, i.e. you guys!

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? My strength lies in swiftly adopting new skills or knowledge fields required for the account and project management of a campaign or a specific client account or project. I believe in fully diving into the topic at hand, with the aim of spotting opportunities of growth that make sense to the needs of the client. Most importantly therefore, I like getting to know the people I work with, involving the needed experts from the very start to the end and creating a working environment of harmonious collaboration.

What I would mostly like to strengthen in my personal development is the aspect of business strategy, particularly for Parasol Island as a company, driving client opportunities, staying ahead of the trends and applying those however needed to us as a company, whilst keeping our customers' interest at heart. My fluency in four languages strives me to heighten Parasol Island's international traction as well!

Some of the project management realms I have been able to gain deeper knowledge on over the last few years: Website Relaunch, Website Management, Digital Tools (such as Sales Enablement Tools: Interactive E-Detailing, ROI Calculator and OnePagers), Positioning & Branding Campaigns, Production Management, Marketing Strategy (GTM), SEM, Social Media Activation.

I would like to expand my expertise in the above communication fields in more depth, with a particular focus on digital and interactive, if possible.

Last but not least, I would like to try to develop (though this very piece might say otherwise) my writing skills by contributing to your magazine once in a while.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?
DEATH BOREDOM: Disengagement, selfishness, uncooperativeness.

ADRENALINE PUMP: Intelligent humour which opens up new perspectives to the individual. And mother nature! And travelling.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My current object of desire is people's minds and their exploration on an individual as well as broader population development level. What moves me is the endless and to some extent inexplicable (for now) investigation of how technology has impacted peoples minds and how it will further do so years to come. Of particular interest is the impact it will have on the interaction between work, our private life and the fiscal system, as well as education. A social environment movement, which explores exactly this impact has been pumping my adrenaline recently, and is called the Venus Project.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Is there any other answer than your phone on this one? App with solutions for the usual day: GMaps, Whatsapp (though sometimes represents the problem and solution simultaneously!), Blinkist, Spotify, Podcasts, Foursquare (weekend) and Art Rabbit (weekend).

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
https://therealnews.com/

https://www.vice.com/de

https://www.manrepeller.com/

https://www.theguardian.com/international

https://www.thecut.com/

Offline, outside in the Real World, I mostly meet my friends. I have gone through a period of social cleansing, which was one of the most liberating efforts in recent years.

One of the secrets to inner balance and happiness, I have come to find out (better late than never): surround yourself only with the people that you truly connect with and cut out all other B...S (Pardon my French)

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are classics you would not want anyone to miss?

Books of all time: Ishmael, Steppenwolf, Professor Unrat, Sapiens (still reading)

Music: Everything that smoothly accompanies the moment (and is obviously attuned to my taste). The genres I like most: Soul, Electronic, Hip Hop, Classic. Please don't ever make me listen to hard rock or aggro metal.

In terms of the classics that I would not want anyone to miss, I can name you a few artists to keep the perspective broad, and maybe some details as we get to know each other: Otis Redding, Al Green, Fugees, Lauryn Hill, Slick Rick, BIG

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I was born in Langenfeld, Germany but spend most of my elementary-school time in San Diego, California. After three years, I moved back to Germany. For now, I am happy to live in Monheim and work nearby. I cannot foresay where I will be heading in future, but what I can say for sure is that I want to stay here long.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I would describe myself as creative. I like to play with different types of visualisation and the different media types. Also, it is very interesting to know how people react to these. Therefore I studied media and cognition science in Duisburg which combines all these. After my studies I worked as a Community Manager for the theme park Phantasialand. As soon as I saw the job opening here at Parasol Island I applied for it. I believe this is a great place to learn from very creative people and improve myself by watching them and seeing how professionals work.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Always repeating tasks with no challenge. Working very long on the same thing. Just hanging around and doing nothing. Those are probably the two things that bore me the most. I love (almost) every sport, especially watersports, soccer and basketball. And I love to be a creative or try new things and see how these things develop..

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
To learn more about the digital work for a company, seeing the possibilities there and being part of a great team, that creates great work and media. Personally I want to train more again to become more fit and strong again after my injuries.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
As far as you can still call it a gadget I would say my mobile. It has all the solutions for every situation I need. Do not get me wrong, I also like being offline for some days during holidays but in general and everyday life I really do not want to miss my mobile.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Recently I often checked the news t3n provides to stay up to date. Also I like Pinterest to get ideas for many different things, especially DIY things and presents. Furthermore, I frequently watch basketball on DAZN. Offline I often see my old friends from High School. We managed to stay in contact even though some of us moved further away. Additionally, my girlfriend and I often go to the harbour in Maintal, near Frankfurt for the weekend. My girlfriend grew up in that area and has friends there which camp at the harbour. Also, we can do watersports like wakeboarding or wakesurfing there, as far as our injured knees let us.
Monkeys.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
I always plan to reed books, but in the end I actually don’t. It is something I want to change in the near future. I like different kind of music styles, my favourite are Hip Hop (of the 2000s), alternative, some country, and a music style I like to call surfer music. Classics are of course the works of Eminem and 50 Cent. They were most present in my childhood and no matter if you want to motivate yourself, get ready for a (basketball) game or just party in style – you don’t want to miss these classics. .

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I grew up in the flattest flatland, in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). After a few stops here and there I finally ended up in Berlin..

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Ignorance and arrogance! Slow internet and bad radio reception. Adrenalin ramping in a positive way: Good concerts, animal videos, Capri Sonne and parachute jumping....

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Maybe one day, perhaps, a Leica camera. And, of course, a mini-horse named Li'l Sebastian (Parks and Recreation fans know). Until then my beloved old bike I purchased at the local flee-market.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?
Google and my gut feeling.
Brain.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?
Pin Pin Pinterest. Friends and family – gladly on the Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin.
Monkeys.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss?
After 17 years I once again excavated Stephen King's It, my read for the coming weeks. The new records from Arcade Fire and Manchester Orchestra. And – for topical reasons – Kettcar's Summer 89 (if they can do something, it’s lyrics).

Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen?

Instagram ist für mich unentbehrlich: „Capture and Share the World's Moment.

Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen?

Opel Manta; my Docs.

The heart.

Spotify. Friends & friends of friends.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Going with the flow can be pretty boring. I love to ride my bike in the city. Fast. Ignoring red lights on crossroads (sometimes, haha). Riding close to objects. Pushing your adrenaline level can be real fun.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? To beat the climb of the infamous Mont Ventoux this month. Makin’ moves moves me.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My technics 1210er are indispensable. I can trust them and they will run forever. There is an app called “Streichholz ziehen” If you don’t find a solution – grab a “Streichholz”.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Honestly, vimeo.com is the place to go. Sometimes it’s really hard to keep updated because so many new videos are uploaded every day. But a perfect day should start and end with a nice video which reminds us of the reason why we’re working in this field of work. Cause we simply love beautiful things. I love to meet friends in personal. All day long we’re staring at displays whether it’s a computer or cellphone display. It’s a refreshing feeling to turn it off and enjoy analogue things. If it’s cooking or playing some music. In my opinion it can be really efficient and satisfying to work with friends or colleagues on ideas which are not limited by the speed of the internet. Offline is not as bad as it seems.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Currently I’m into „Come into my kitchen“ which is a book about the early techno scene of frankfurt. It gives a clear image about how and why everything started and how the club „Robert Johnson“ became one of the best in the world. It also topics the quest to create „the“ perfect sound. (You can grab a copy here: http://liveatrobertjohnson.com). The works of Stefan Marx (Illustrator), Salt & Silver (Creators of Travel and Cook Books), Lobster Theremin (Label), Forbidden Planet (Label), Larry Clarke (Director), Massimiliano Pagliara (Musician). I think there is too much worth mentioning.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I'm from Kaarst and would like to stay here for the near future. I like the suburban kind of town and would rather build a house and have a family here than in a big city..

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Maybe there isn't one particular skill in wich I'm overwhelmingly good. But I guess you could call me an allrounder :) And I want to develop my talents with computers and servers of course.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Professionally I find slow overloaded websites boring.
What bores and ramps my adrenaline level at the same time are shows like "gossip girl", when my S.O. watches them I go crazy. On the one side I'm bored as hell, because they aren't thrilling. I mean six seasons about relationships of young people who got to much money from their parents, all played by lousy actors... really?

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Hm, my current object of desire would be, if we stick to material objects, a Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500. But besides that I really want a good house, a large garden. Simply a place where I can live in peace and happiness. Could sound stupid but I'm that kind of guy..

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My mobile-phone is most important but not indispensable. And I don't have an application that gives me solutions, my father does, his solutions might be more ore less helpful but after all they're solutions.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Mostly Youtube and 9gag. Youtube, because I don't/can't watch normal TV and youtube has more than enough to watch. 9gag, because between piles of sh*** there are a few flowers which really rise my mood. I'm meeting my friends of course. I got so many of them my mother stopped memorizing their names.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  Currently I'm reading the Percy Jackson books. Yes they're books for children but I like fantasy and mythology und they are extremely well written. My favorite music is rock. Mostly Billy Talent, but in my daily playlists are tracks of all genres, rap, jazz, dubstep, R'n'B. A classic no one should miss Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin, a brilliant song. I play guitar for almost 14 years now, this is still the best song to learn.

Woher kommst du und wohin willst du? Vom Hafen auf die Insel - und danach? Bis zur Unendlichkeit und noch viel weiter.

Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen?

Was mich wirklich bewegt?

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a small town (most people would call it a village, but we locals would like to believe that it is a small town) in Lithuania. I’m heading towards a very bright future (or just a very bright monitor in front of me).

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Butter smooth animation and childish enthusiasm of course. I would like to develop my storytelling skills more (make people cry, laugh or just sit in silence for few minutes and then call for their parents and cry and laugh).

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? What I desire the most is: time – time to do more things. I'm constantly learning to manage my time better and more efficiently. Honesty is what moves me the most.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m a day dreamer, many exciting things happen inside my head, so actually I’m never bored. Only a few times in my life have I ever experienced a real adrenaline rush. Once, while I was drowning as a child in frozen pond, second time happened in Siberian mountains on white water rafting trip (went overboard and was carried away in freezing water for a few kilometers), and my most recent adrenaline experience happened when a car hit my bicycle and I landed with the back of my head on asphalt (had a helmet on – didn’t feel a thing). So probably my adrenaline ramps up when I encounter life threatening situations (or very cold water. Also, when Germany won the world cup, that was extremely exciting for me!

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Pen and paper usually solves a problem, if not - application of hot steamy shower does the job.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Motionographer and icecreamhater for my daily motion design dose. Dribbble and Behance for inspiration and a bit of networking. Little White Lies for cinema news, occasionally BBC World Service. Offline I meet with Julia (the most beautiful woman in a world and very smart too), Wunjo (big dog), Kreta (small dog), Perro (very loud cat), Agata (same blood) and Lenart, a friend.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Currently I’m reading Stephen King’s Night Shift (1978), a short stories collection that includes such cult classic as Children of Corn, The Ledge, Lawnmower Man and etc. Lately I can’t get enough of Alex Cameron music, I definitely recommend it (especially live performances are a must see).

And if we talk about recommendations here is a little list. Music: Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, Suicide, Sixto Rodriguez Book: Robinson Crusoe, American Gods, Hobbit Graphic novel: Akira (Katsuhiro Otomo), Maus (Art Spiegelman), Asterios Polyp (David Mazzucchelli) Movie: Stand by Me, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Searching for Sugarman, Only Lovers left Alive

Senior Strategic Creative Interactive

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?I started with exhibition and event concepts in agencies in Cologne. Then moved to Berlin and switched to Social Media at TLGG. The last two years I created loads of beauty stuff as Creative Director at Content Cube, a L’Oréal exclusive agency. Right now, I´m looking for some “more masculine projects” and I´d love to push my film skills to the next aesthetic level.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? My superpowers are: creating strategic creative umbrellas and connect good single ideas to a holistic concept, staying calm under high stress level, thinking social – concept wise and team oriented. I´d like to develop myself by finding and connecting the right people at Parasol to learn from each other.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level?People who are just talking about themselves kill my interest. And to ramp my adrenaline frequently I just search for things I´ve never done before. Some weeks ago I started working as a university lecturer and teach “Corporate & Product Branding” at RFH in Cologne.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?  To live a life on which I can look back at the age of 80, sitting in my hover rocking chair and hear me saying: “Lucky me, I´ve just been happy.”

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My iWatch has been my most dispensable gadget. I think about buying Alexa, cause even if I love writing I like to find some ways to avoid using my keyboard whole day long. And the most important app for me is Google maps, cause the orientation part is just missing in my brain.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? I like a mix of creative tech stuff and social topics, for example t3n and Edition-F are two of my favorites. My friends here in Düsseldorf I try to meet weekly and as often as I can I visit my favorite people in Berlin. Also important, my daily appointment with Lumi & Nati, my kittens with cuteness overload.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? I love podcasts. For example “Happy, holy and confident” which is mega mind opening, “Hotel Matze” cause of the inspiring personalities or “Fest und Flauschig” are part of my weekend routine. One of my favorite books is “The Circle” – a future vision about what it means if the whole society acts completely transparent.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a tranquil village near Paderborn called Lippstadt. After stops in the Sauerland and Ruhr region I stranded in Düsseldorf. I finished a master in photography and was working more than two years as a producer in Düsseldorf lately. My next goal is to explore the island step by step.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Intentness, self-dependance and readiness of mind. I won’t lose my organising abilities even in stressful situations. A strong coffee and black humour are my weapons against chaos taking over. Now I’m open to face new adventures – if you don't go forward, you go backwards.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Slow people drive me nuts. I'm almost never bored in my leisure time – and if I that would happen I’d call it luxury.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?I have no list of objects of desire. If I want something, then it is a very spontaneous decision from the heart. My list of things that I do not need is definitely longer.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?Of course my mobile – they say a phantom telephone ping is a widespread disease nowadays – so at least I’m not alone. The internet offers pretty much madness, but also most of the time a solution for everything. My laptop is another favorite gadget: With the silver bullet Photoshop I can solve almost any visual problem.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Facebook and Instagram are probably a lot more than websites. They are the anchor point for social life, stalking instrument and deflection magnet. After the first coffe, ready fore more content, W&V, Lead Digital and Horizont are on my list. Almost forgot Amazon – what would life be without online shopping? When the batteries of mobile and laptop are empty, I go to the movies, exercise or meet friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? My ebook is full of crime thrillers. Simon Beckett, Stieg Larsson, Cody McFadyen. Currently I read Sebastian Fitzeks "Noah". My playlist is as wild and colorful as my wardrobe, but especially full of Rock and Alternative. Guitars, drums and a handsome bass player - that is music. And: Everyone should see The Black Keys live.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from Greece. I grew up between a village in Greece and Munich. Now based in Berlin. I will let you guys know where I'm headed when I know for myself.

What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I'm a problem solver and will organise all organisable aspects of a job if that means that it will be done faster and/or better. I think that I can give good advice and sensible and applicable feedback. I hope to gain insights to the workflow of productions, overall improve my qualities and what I can contribute and add technical skills to my toolkit.

What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? I get bored from eating just plain apples of the non-sour kind, but I refuse to do that, so everything is good.

Working on a project that I'm passionate about is the best feeling. Especially the process of developing an idea is exciting and most rewarding.

What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Pratone or similar eccentric object-furniture. I am moved by things done honestly and purposefully and I aim to do things honestly and purposefully myself.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Guess I'll probably have to go with my smartphone. An application with good enough solutions would be Google Translate: trusted assistant of understanding foreign restaurant menus.

What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Youtube.com. Home of vine compilations, recipe videos and video essays (actually also the home of dangerous alt-right ideology but let's ignore that for now).

Offline I meet with friends to cook together, talk each other up, discuss what's close to us and other more abstract things.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? I'm currently in the middle of Über Fotografie by Susan Sontag while just having finished reading Die helle Kammer by Roland Barthes. I'm a sucker for theoretical texts. I listen to R&B/Soul, electronic music, rap and the occasional film soundtrack but won't go into listing music because there's just too much for any list to feel complete.

Good but long read aka "classic": A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russell.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I live in Willich, near Düsseldorf with my husband and my two kids. Before I joined Parasol I used to work for McCann Worldgroup and Kunst & Kollegen, both within the finance department.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I know how to structure myself and how to prioritise my tasks. I am not an expert beeing on center stage, but I know how to assume responsibility of what is important for my job. Furthermore a familiar atmosphere and the team I work with is really important to me.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? There is no certain thing, which makes me bored. I think each situation can bring you further. I like to rethink given structures and to develop new processes, which can make work more efficient..

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Every day brings different events on private and business level, that keeps me moving and staying flexibel and open-minded.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? As a mom, my phone is my gadget... to talk to my friends, to organise all appointments around my kids and just to be uptodate.

Which website do you visit frequently? I like to surf on fashion and interior-based websites, like Pinterest, Monoqi and a lot of Blog-websites. But I love to rummage in home improvement stores, especially in the Netherlands.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? I like classics from the 1980s and 1990s most. These music gives me power or the mood to relax. Reading books is not one of my favorites..

(sorry for that).

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? If there is a wildcard, I played it right here (tbh – that's the part of an interview I really don't like). Let‘s see. I‘m motivated as hell and super curious. I love to challenge myself and hope to grow with the island!

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Dump talk vs. dance. Great concerts, beautiful landscapes.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? To get inspired every day and the ability to be an inspiration for others. It's about the point of view to deal with things. There is a lot of stuff that moves me.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? The classics: Smartphone,TV, Google, Netflix.

Which website do you visit frequently? Websites: snipes, asos, westwing, pinterest. Offline: A pool of people with different points of view and life standards with great minds and hearts (most important: humour).

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?
I'm from Düsseldorf. As one dream always was living close to the ocean, an island seems to be a pretty good place.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents?
I would describe myself as caring and open-minded. I easily get in touch with new people. In everyday work I stay calm, even when things get hectic. And cheerful, for sure.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?
Sometimes I am a little impatient, so waiting.. Jap, that bores me. My adrenaline level rises by driving fast. When I was young, I wanted to be a safety car driver in Formula One as a grown-up. I was always super realistic, that I will not be the real racer, haha, but safety car driver was a thing.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?
Travelling. The world. There are still so many places on my bucket list. Super cheesy, but travelling really makes me happier.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Google is your friend.

Which website do you visit frequently?
Instagram, to be honest. And Google Maps, specially for travelling. But I would always choose offline. Meeting family and friends is the most important thing for me. I can sit for hours drinking coffee (or wine) and spending my time with them.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?
I love reading thrillers, these kind of books you do not want to put down at all. As well, I really like to dive into other worlds. That ́s why I just started Shantaram by Gregory Roberts. But, saidly to say so, sometimes it's hard to find time for 1140 pages of indian adventures. Especially when you also love to watch movies and can easily get lost in Netflix series. Music wise, a friend asked me once, if I am an old woman hidden in a (super) young body. haha. Because of the music I am listening to. I love the late 1960's, the 70's and the early 80's. I think mostly because it reminds me of the music my dad recorded on audio-cassettes for his car.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born and raised in Dusseldorf. Since I’ve just been stranded on the island, I’d just like to stay here.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I have a penchant for organization, planning and communication. And – who knows what the future will bring?

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I hate waiting! And I’m also suspicious of people who don’t understand my sarcasm. My adrenaline pumps every time my daughter does something that’s too dangerous in my eyes. And riding in a car too fast... On the positive side – music makes be really happy.

What's your current object of desire? A garden!

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? The weather app and my iPhone.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline?Google. My kid, my man, my friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  I love good old House Music. I read for relaxation, so I go for lighter stuff. It’s so light that I don’t remember much of it. But I wouldn’t want to miss classics like The Little Prince and Pippi Longstocking.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Born in Haltern am See raised in Dülmen, probably known for a species which does not exist in any other part of Europe. Wild horses in Merfelder Bruch - a flat and broad land with its own appeal, which Goethe called simply ‚the grandeur of the plain‘. I studied in Münster and worked in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Munich. I'm not sure what’s next but I could imagine to live in the sunshine state of California. Not sure if this gonna happen but I pretty much like it on the island.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? The first contact went through a headhunter but I know the island from this playful ‚Jades‘ website. Years later I sent a spontaneous application. It’s the will. Not the skill.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Probably you'll find it out.

What's your current object of desire? A house by the sea.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Still looking for it.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Besides Hypebeast, Vice and other daily dose of inspiration I stumble over onlineshops with expensive things I can't afford. Friends & Family.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  Music keeps me alive. Still listening to my old-school Hip Hop vinyls that I kept from DJing back in the 90s. I like electronic music as well and I am always up for a Sven Väth set first row. The last book I read was Inferno.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born in the south of Düsseldorf but meanwhile I’ve made it to Unterbilk. After working as a car salesman, an account manager in a network agency and a project manager in the public sector, I now want to immerse myself completely in the digital world.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I love to learn, to organize and to see how things develop. I’m curious about any kind of innovation. I have a variety of interests and hobbies that enable me to view and evaluate things from different angles and to "think outside the box".

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I am bored or annoyed by any form of wasting time. People walking too slowly in front of me, senseless TV shows or the lack of punctuality in public transport (which also ramps my adrenaline level in a negative way). In a positive way: definitely the mountains. Whether it's snowboarding in winter or climbing and mountaineering in summer – there's nothing that can earth me more and inspire me at the same time. Also, my football club, which is responsible for some of the most emotional moments of my life.

What's your current object of desire?
A camper van or a camping bus (suitable for everyday use). After a trip through Norway I'm absolutely thrilled. And what moves me? Well, hopefully soon my camping bus. Otherwise my bicycle and since I live directly in the neighborhood: my legs. And if you want to know what really moves me, come over and have a chat…

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? "Unfortunately" my smartphone which I use way too often. Otherwise my new cast iron roaster. A real game changer in the kitchen. For solutions I usually ask Google or YouTube but meanwhile also the Parasol Wiki.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Online: zeit, FAZ, rp-online for general news. t3n, OMR, WUV, Horizont etc. for marketing and digital content. 11Freunde, transfermarkt, kicker etc. for sports news. instagram for entertainment. Offline: My family that also lives all over Düsseldorf, my aunt's dog Cleo and of course my friends.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  Sadly my reading activities are currently limited to online articles and cookbooks. My favorite classic book is "Steppenwolf" by Hermann Hesse but I also like stories about the great outdoors like "Into Thin Air" by J. Krakauer and stuff like that. Recommendations are welcome. When it comes to music I am quite versatile and I always love to find new tunes, but mostly I'm into the sound from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Well, in terms of career I’m looking back on 13 years of hustling through all different kinds of agencies. Born and raised in the Münsterland, true Westphalian. Hoping to find a new home here on the Island.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Call me cross-disciplinary strategist, if you like. Or just: the dude doing this … things. Always taking the broader view and looking for inspiration. So I might fare well here, right?

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m not into administrative work. Really not. Not at all. Only the cliché combo of coffee and music makes it tolerable. But feed me with food for thought, leave me to it and things will fall in place. No kidding.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Cars and bikes move me. Sounds like a cheap joke – but it’s really that simple. Right now I’m wrenching on an old Jeep named Claus. Claus hates me, I guess. Always broken, never working.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution?None to be honest. Thought about it for a while, seems like the indispensable doesn’t exist yet. Or maybe I’m just getting old.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? That must be stanceworks.com, a car thing again. In real life, it’s the typical family & friends situation. Like being surrounded by a bunch of favorite human beings, spending time in bars, kitchens and on concerts.

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? Attack of nostalgia: read Der Abfall der Herzen, began listening to Muff Potter again, a band of my small-town youth. Try it, you’ll love it. Or hate it. One way or another, let me know, ok?

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born within the Germanic-Rhaetian Limes and my heart still beats for the south.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I have my track record. But learning never stops.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? The traffic on the A46. To discover a fresh piece of music.

What's your current object of desire? A garage.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Headphones. A run in the nature.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Currently http://titlecapitalization.com – yeah Parasol's Radar … and of course: friends and family

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  All the classics I missed before.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed?I'm a boring german potato. :( Raised and schooled in Düsseldorf, I only left my hometown to move in with my boyfriend who's living in Bochum.

But our next big plan is moving back to Düsseldorf, yay :D.

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Growing up with the internet, spending a lot of time online and having witnessed about every Social Media platform there is and was, I'll try my best to support the Social Media team with my knowledge. In the past I've had quite some contacts with community management, influencer relations, content production as well as internal and external communications and CMS maintenance. I'd love to be able to bundle all my experience and sharpen my expertise.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? What bores me to death? Repetitive days, months, decades of doing the same - without any improvement, without any change. There's no progress without trying something new. And no fun. But I love being creative and I always get pumped up when a simple or stupid idea suddenly turns into a rolling stone and a splendid materialisation.

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?' I'm moved by good books, well written words and good coffee. Also by music and lyrics and by awesome scenery, as well as good food, especially well-made cinnamon rolls! On a 3 week road trip through Australia I licked blood and now I cannot wait to plan my next road trip, be it Australia, Canada or the Tuscany.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? I will never leave home without my smartphone - it's really become indispensable for me and a great tool to gather everything necessary in one place. I'm also a huge supporter of collective intelligence, so for me the applications that always have a solution would be google and twitter.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Twitter and YouTube are my main sources for news as well as satirical comments to said news. I'm also a sucker for beautiful pictures on Instagram. Whom do I meet online? This question made me think a bit. Let's say my boyfriend (duh, we're living together, so that's obvious), my best girlfriends from school whom I still love very dearly (15 years of friendship and counting, yay!), as well as my friends from dance school (where I used to work part-time).

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? I recently fell in love with the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series (Rick Riordan), but don't take my word as a recommendation for great literature. I just happen to LOVE young adults novel and this series is especially good since it combines sharp humour with mythological topics. I also started reading Six of Crows (Leigh Bardugo) and A Court of Thorns and Roses (Sarah J. Maas), another two young adult novels.

A super interesting read is The Circle by Dave Eggers, which deals with some kind of Social Media Dystopia, in my opinion a really relevant topic.

I would always recommend people to read the following: Norwegian Wood (Haruki Murakami), Memoires of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), die Stadt der träumenden Bücher (Water Moers), Child Thief (Gerald Brom) and The Humans (Matt Haig). As for classics, I will never get tired of reading Peter Pan, Little Women, 1984 and of course the Harry Potter series.

... After overwhelming you with my bad taste in literature, I decided it's best not to spam you with my everlasting love for music (especially Alternative, Indie, Pop and songs with beautiful lyrics.) If you are still interested, don't be shy to ask me in person - I won't bite. Often.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I am from one of the oldest cultural cities called Alexandria, Egypt, which used to be the Paris of the Middle East before the 1980s. Unfortunately, it is no longer the place it once was. One needs to pierce its many veils in order to perceive its Mediterranean, multicultural, dust-covered beauty. Alexandria was the place where I grew up and became an adult. Cologne is the place where I got to know my adult self. My journey ahead, in this city, is still unknown, but the prospects are exhilarating..

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? My skills are my passion for editing, film, pictorial nature and music. I would develop these skills through the rigorous, and creative, aesthetic work ethic that this creative one stop shop/film production encourages and expects.

What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I am incredibly bored by superficiality; fake people and flakey conversations. My adrenaline spikes and my interest peaks whenever I encounter work by sincerity and a good heart. Thus, I naturally gravitate to the beauty in art, dance, music, and film..

What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My objects of desire are not material. I am moved by that which is beautiful in nature, architecture, interior design, dance, poetry, food, music, art, books, etc. In other words I am an Aesthete. I also like the idea of combining different media, sceneries and sounds to create something that might inspire people. Besides the real, some of us tend to see surreal scenes in their heads or dreams; The surreal, in the form of edited films, can be incredibly inspiring as well. When sound and image are brought to work in special ways, they elicit physiological responses, the most important of which are those goose bumps we sometimes get when a work touches us inexplicably. These are powerful moments for me, and I believe they are for others too. And these moments are products of humility, sincerity, and originality –three attributes I look for and value tremendously in both people and their productions.

What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? I try to train myself to renounce the material as much as I can. The only gadget I could hardly do without is some kind of music player. The rest are frills.

Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Vimeo.com, nitch.com and nowness.com I meet my dance mates during the week. On weekends, I love meeting up with close friends in cafes over coffee and banana bread. I also relish the breeze of summer nights with good company. As of late, I too often find myself falling asleep on the couch..

What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? I listen to Lambert x, Ben Lukas Boysen, James Horner, Nils Frahm, Redspencer, L';Impératrice,, Men I trust, Public Memory (thank Alexandre), Agar Agar, Somfay, Lockhart, Paradis, Cigarettes after sex, Soft hair, Metronomy, Au revoir Simone, Small Black, Sebastien Tellier, Manor, Röyskopp, Oum Kalthoum, Mashrou3 Leila, the list is endless. There are many talented persons these days. Lately, I enjoy reading books that require deep and critical thinking, such as “40 Rules of Love” by Elif Shafak (Don’t miss that one!); “the Essentials of Sufism” by Robert Frager and James Fadiman, although I do not fully agree with their selfless theories because human beings are not designed like angels; “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini; works by Khalil Gibran; and a mysterious, metaphorical Arabic book full of beautiful aesthesis, which is misinterpreted by the majority and misused for political ends in my opinion. Of this last book: I read between its lines once every year of my life, in an effort to understand its magical logic, but also to think and rethink its messages according to the modern world we now live in.
