Hmmm, lesen tue ich aktuelle nix konkretes. Aber wenn sich doch mal Zeit finden sollte, dann gerne die Werke von Max Goldt. Ich kenne niemanden mit solch einer scharfen Beobachtungsgabe. Heute läuft im Hintergrund Mike Figgis und Tomoki Kanada. Aber das ändert sich täglich bei mir. Standradwerke – "Le petit prince" von Antoine de Saint-Exupéry ist zeitlos. Auch nach 70 Jahren.

My baking skills are great. Unfortunately cooking is not so well – but this was not the question. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Currently nothing material. I longed for vacation and I went to the French Atlantic Coast – before starting the island life here. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My mobile. 24/7 on Insta, Snapchat and Facebook. Of course ONLY for professional reasons. For that I also play PokémonGo. No idea how many times I've read the books and watched the films. Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Born and raised in Essen I knew I wanted to live nearby the sea since I was 6. I quickly started packing my bags and made my way through Ramsgate, Glasgow, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Cologne heading right up to Hamburg, where I have been living for 10 years now. It's already pretty close to water - at least I can hear the horns of the big ships on the elbe from my bedroom. Could be warmer though and less rainy...;-). What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Organisaztional skills, the "client eye", hands on attitude, wit and many years of experience on client, trade & agency side - mainly automobile. I am pretty good at tirami-su and mousse au chocolat, too ;-) Get more know-how on all the production aspects of latest digital devs (Newsletters, landingpages, apps, AR etc.) and extend my digital media management knowledge. What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Stagnation bores me to death. I get a kick out of adventure - travelling with my backpack, sailing, ideally under competitive circumstances and running for goals on the hockey pitch with my team HC St. Pauli. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?  I want to buy myself an old Fiat 500 from 1971-77, preferably dark blue with cognac or red leather seats <3. I am moved by my 5 year-old-godchild when he sends me video messages. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Weatherpro & wind finder...although you could bucket all those technical things as they're all replaceable. Columbus also found his way through winds and water. Langeweile gibt es nicht! Das Nachmittagsfernsehprogramm lässt meinen Adrenalinpegel steigen, weil ich mich unendlich darüber aufregen könnte, dass bestimmte Sendungen überhaupt produziert werden. Ja, auch wenn ich keine einzige davon schaue, die Namen reichen schon… Was ist dein aktuelles Objekt der Begierde und was bewegt dich wirklich? Ein Stück Torte, das neben meinem Laptop steht und darauf wartet, gegessen zu werden, wenn ich mit dem Beantworten fertig bin. Welches Gadget ist unentbehrlich und welche Applikation hat immer eine Lösung parat? Google. Welcher Domain stattest du täglich einen Besuch ab und wem gerne in echt? In nächster Zeit wird das vor allem Google Maps sein. Ansonsten unzählige tumblr Blogs. In echt: Alle Orte, wo es leckeres Essen gibt. Was liest und hörst du momentan und welche Standardwerke möchtest du nicht missen? Gerade lese ich "Die Physiker" von Dürrenmatt ? eines meiner Lieblingsbücher. Musik: The XX, Kings of Convenience, The Whitest Boy Alive, Lorde, Birdy gehen immer und gerade "wiederentdeckt" Fleetwood Mac mit "Everywhere".

I am bored by people who feel entitled and are closed-minded. Things that ramp my adrenaline are being where the action is-whether it be events, projects or cities! I also love traveling and discovering new places. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Perfecting my Spanish skills is something that I am currently very passionate about. Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a little village near Osnabrück and I just genuinely hated growing up there. Nothing to do all day, but watching cows turning grass into poop! I always saw myself somewhere in a bigger city. I never really felt at home in Germany, I was always drawn to the idea of living in England. It’s still one of my biggest goals. Career wise applying for the job at Parasol was a big step into a better direction. Scary, but mostly exciting. I guess you gotta risk it to get the biscuit! What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? „I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you“. Nah – just kidding, but A+ if you know which movie this is from. I would say my Lettering skills are something not everyone’s familiar with nor has the experience or the ambition to do so. I am in love with the individual aspect of it. Creating something new and from scratch, without using fonts that already exist. I like. To be honest, I want to know everything! But If I had to choose I’d like to get more knowledge in the fields of web & app design. I always had a thing for the digital and interactive side of design, especially coming from a print background. But I never really had the chance to get into it more and in depth. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Bad movies with horrible story lines and especially with bad dubs! There‘s nothing worse than a bad voice actor killing the great performance of an actor. That‘s probably one of my biggest pet peeves. I only watch movies or series in their original language, no exceptions. Ramping up my adrenalin: FANGIRLING! When a new season starts or a new movie comes out. Writing and discussing theories with friends about what could happen next just gives me life. I mean Rey is definitely a reincarnation of Anakin Skywalker!! Well written characters. Interesting character development. Fandoms and the devotion that they put into their fan art, cosplays etc. Also people who know more than me, especially about work. Just feed me your knowledge! What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My guitar...always! I am most certainly not the best singer songwriter, but there’s nothing better than writing a new song at 4 am. New clothes! Sounds superficial, but defining myself trough my looks and clothes is a big part of me. It‘s not important to look pretty, it‘s the part where I just can be who I want to be without questioning myself. I have this particular image of me in my head and I‘m not going to stop until I get it. I just want to be! Just be. What gadget is indispensable? Toothbrush! Which website do you visit frequently? Netflix & Tumblr. Yeah, I know you probably expected a fancy design website, but nope just that. I need my daily dose of series and movies. Tumblr in particular is a great platform for new and interesting things. You can basically find everything you like! I learned a lot over the past years, by simply reading stories about people on Tumblr. You gain insight of so many different mindsets. That‘s pretty interesting. Aaand it‘s also the best platform for fangirling there is! Period. What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Harry Potter! Always! I listen to the audio books (only read by Rufus Beck) at least twice a year since I was 8. And yes it never gets old. Besides Harry Potter, I enjoy reading a lot of Fantasy. Especially Terry Pratchett. His version of Death is by far my favourite character of all time. The title of my portfolio is basically based on this particular character. I am really into everything from the late 60s, 70s, 80s (Very important! Best time for music and movies. Well, at least the most cheesy ones): Classic Rock, Nintendocore, Thrash Metal... From Careless Whispers from Wham! (and yes I liked this song before Deadpool came out) to Disciple from Slayer. I always say „I like everything, except for the things I don’t like!“ Favorite song at the moment: Larkin Poe - Sucker Puncher. Classics: If you‘re into video game themed music and all that kinda stuff and you haven’t listened to The Protomen or The Magic Sword. You’re defo missing out big time! It seems like as I get older so does the music I enjoy. In therms of essential classics… I guess if I had to pick 3 records to the notorious deserted island I’d say Miles Davis – Kind of Blue, Jimi Hendrix – Are you experienced & Bob Dylan – The freewheelin’ Bob Dylan. Oh and Books. I must admit that currently I’m reading nothing but the newspaper. Last book was Homo Faber though, loved it.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I've worked freelance for the past three month after deciding to drop out of congaz Berlin. I used that time to take care of my network and to orientate on the ocean of possibilities looking for a nice island to land on. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Besides my obvious skills as a producer I also worked as a copywriter for about two years at Jung von Matt, BBDO and Media Consulta. I also used to write and perform songs and I directed a commercial that was picked as creation of the day by W&V back in 2006. And I worked on the client side as an Inhouse Producer at the McFIT Group.  I want to continue sharpening my skills in all disciplines and become a complete producer for animation, film, photo, TV, Online, everything. And I'm interested in how to take care of palm trees.  What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I'm not good at waiting. Not at all. One of the worst things is people standing and not walking on an elevator. On the way downstairs. And blocking it so you can't even pass them. My adrenaline is ramped by a good workout, by going 270km/h on the Autobahn and by the day before a shoot. Oh, and certain sneakers make me just fall into "shut up and take my money" mode. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Besides new tattoos and good coffee, which I'm always looking for, it's a Sony a7R II and that super sleek new 13" MacBook Pro in dark-grey. And then there's this Louis Vuitton backback, the Christopher PM. I mean, it has my name! What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? Definitely my iPhone. I do anything with it. When it comes to apps there's not that one that has it all. A nice app is the AJA DataCalc. You how many hours you shoot and select the codec and resolution and it tells you what data size you create. The Dropbox app makes your phone or iPad a scanner. You take a photo of a document and the app makes it look like an actual scan and safe it as either a PDF or a jpg. When it comes to post production Deadline has some nice automation features. Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? I'm into Instagram. I also started Fashion Blogging with a friend who is a photographer. Besides that it's slashcam.de, Horizont.net, highsnobiety.com and Spiegel.de Offline I meet my gym as often as I can. Or my cousin and friends. What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Books aren't for me, I'm the film guy. But reading the Wired is always a good idea. My Spotify has been taken over by the new Kendrick Lamar Album "DAMN". Really worth listening. A classic in my collection would be "El Camino" by The Black Keys. Just great music that never gets old or boring.

Woher kommst du und wohin willst du? Ich habe die letzten Jahre in London gelebt. Ich möchte mir ein festes Standbein in der Hauptstadt aufbauen. Welche Fähigkeiten bringst auf die Insel mit, und wohin möchtest du dein Talent entwickeln? Was ich mitbringe: gute Laune und einen tollen Teamgeist.  Da ich ein gelernter Hotelier bin, freue ich mich auf jede Art von Arbeit bei Parasol Island und starte somit vom “scratch“.. Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen? Schlechte Filme, an einer Bushaltestelle zu stehen. Ein gutes Fußballspiel, gute Musik, schnelle Autos. When it comes to reading while taking the train I most often pick up a thriller by Simon Beckett but if I had to name a classic, I would recommend The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway. A classic when it comes to movies would be Memento by Christopher Nolan. Most of the time, I listen to my own playlist, which is a mixture of different genres, ranging from Hip Hop to Rock and electronic music.

I consider myself very communicative and throughout my recent experience in consulting I have developed strong analytical, strategic and organizational skills. However, I have been missing a lot the creative side as I've always seen myself pretty much as 50/50 analytical-creative. Now I strongly feel the need to set free my creative impulses and I'm pretty sure Parasol Island is the right place to do so.  What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m generally bored by lack of diversity. For me it's important that things, tasks and especially people are diverse, as I really like to constantly receive new inputs. That's also why adrenaline kicks especially in for me when I travel or discover new place. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? My current object of desire is a new Polaroid. While authentic passion is what triggers me the most. I'm a very practical person so if I believe in something I will somehow find a way to make it happen. What gadget is indispensable? I have a sort of diary I keep always with me, where I like to write notes, thoughts, ideas or include whatever detail I capture along the way.  What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? I'm really passionate about fashion, photography and particularly about the social and cultural influence of the most different creative expressions, so I spend a lot of time on i-D.vice.com and dazeddigital.com for new daily inspiration; The people I appreciate the most are those who have their own authentic opinions and are not afraid to stick to their vision, while at the same time manage to always have fun and never take themselves too seriously.. What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? Currently I‘m listening a lot to techno but also really enjoy more chilled/tropical tracks. Recent readings include The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart, On the Road by Jack Kerouac and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Concerning the classics I have always been a lot into British artists: David Bowie, Queen, The Beatles, Oasis and Amy Winehouse are all among my favorites. My must-read: Le Petit Prince.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born in Langenfeld, Germany but spend most of my elementary-school time in San Diego, California. After three years, I moved back to Germany. For now, I am happy to live in Monheim and work nearby. I cannot foresay where I will be heading in future, but what I can say for sure is that I want to stay here long. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I would describe myself as creative. I like to play with different types of visualisation and the different media types. Also, it is very interesting to know how people react to these. Therefore I studied media and cognition science in Duisburg which combines all these. After my studies I worked as a Community Manager for the theme park Phantasialand. As soon as I saw the job opening here at Parasol Island I applied for it. I believe this is a great place to learn from very creative people and improve myself by watching them and seeing how professionals work. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Always repeating tasks with no challenge. Working very long on the same thing. Just hanging around and doing nothing. Those are probably the two things that bore me the most. I love (almost) every sport, especially watersports, soccer and basketball. And I love to be a creative or try new things and see how these things develop.. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? To learn more about the digital work for a company, seeing the possibilities there and being part of a great team, that creates great work and media. Personally I want to train more again to become more fit and strong again after my injuries. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? As far as you can still call it a gadget I would say my mobile. It has all the solutions for every situation I need. Do not get me wrong, I also like being offline for some days during holidays but in general and everyday life I really do not want to miss my mobile. What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Recently I often checked the news t3n provides to stay up to date. Also I like Pinterest to get ideas for many different things, especially DIY things and presents. Furthermore, I frequently watch basketball on DAZN. Offline I often see my old friends from High School. We managed to stay in contact even though some of us moved further away. Additionally, my girlfriend and I often go to the harbour in Maintal, near Frankfurt for the weekend. My girlfriend grew up in that area and has friends there which camp at the harbour. Also, we can do watersports like wakeboarding or wakesurfing there, as far as our injured knees let us. It is something I want to change in the near future. They were most present in my childhood and no matter if you want to motivate yourself, get ready for a (basketball) game or just party in style – you don’t want to miss these classics. .

What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I can make a killer Guacamole. Oh, I also have some web development and design knowledge, which I look forward to use in future projects. I want to develop strategies for writing better and more efficient code, as well as to learn how to think strategically in projects. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? What bores me? I guess anything that has to do with waiting. For example, waiting in line, waiting for the delayed U-bahn, waiting for a slow website to load. What ramps my adrenaline? A good song, looking at a cool website (like this one), superhero movies, meeting friends for a drink or two, reading funny t-rex jokes, playing cageball, dutch interior design (I know, that ́s a bit weird), dancing Lindy Hop, building stuff (with code or with real life materials), and, as cheesy as it sounds, I love learning new things.. Um, I think it would be cool to have an Apple Watch with a GPS tracker for running and through which I could listen to Spotify offline without having to carry my phone. Maybe Apple’s September release introduces this... What moves me? Traveling. Seeing different cultures and ways of doing things fascinates me. I feel inspired by nature. Woher kommst du und wohin willst du?Ich brauchte eine Weile, um zu verstehen, woher ich kam. Sicher habe ich mich in der Vergangenheit etwas verleiten lassen, von Werten, die es eigentlich nicht wert sind! Ich bin unterwegs auf einer Reise, die mich erfüllen soll und zu der ich einmal mit sehr positiven Gefühlen zurückblicken möchte. Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen? Oberflächlichkeit langweilt mich zu Tode. Mein Adrenalinpegel steigt, wenn ergreifende Dinge passieren oder anstehen. Das können aber auch tatsächliche Abenteuer/Herausforderungen sein (sportlich, musikalisch, beruflich, …). Was ist dein aktuelles Objekt der Begierde und was bewegt dich wirklich? Das geht zu weit, über mein aktuelles Objekt der Begierde möchte ich mich hier nicht auslassen ;-) Welches Gadget ist unentbehrlich und welche Applikation hat immer eine Lösung parat? Instagram ist für mich unentbehrlich: „Capture and Share the World's Moment. Die Applikation, die immer eine Lösung parat hat, gibt es leider nicht, deswegen gibt es ja so viele :-) Welcher Domain stattest du täglich einen Besuch ab und wem gerne in echt? Tatsächlich sind es Facebook.com, spiegel.de, google.com. In echt besuche ich gerne woyton.de. Was liest und hörst du momentan und welche Standardwerke möchtest du nicht missen? Ich lese gerade „Nachtzug nach Lissabon“, das braucht eine Weile, weil ich mich dabei erwische, einige Seiten mehrfach zu lesen. „Standardwerke“ in diesem Sinne gibt es für mich nicht, außer „Tim & Struppi“.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Started as a media engineering student in Düsseldorf and added media management studies in Mittweida, I was just amazed about how films are made and what tech is involved. As Junior Post Producer in Berlin, 6 years ago I really fell in love with beeing the hub for creative output, client needs and the budget involved. No matter if it's a long feature film project, tv commercials or only few shots for a music video. I want to do more of that, but also get the opportunity to look into storytelling with AR and VR tech and how this could change our perception and viewing habbits in the near future. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I like to think of me as an open minded and fast-learning person with curiosity for almost everything. My hope or wish is to find some geeks and freaks at Parasol Island who can teach me a thing or two. I'm just very passionate about making films, especially vex and animation, and to work together with likely passionate folks is all I want. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Watching Tennis bores me. Badminton is great, though, and very fast, I play it in my freetime. Also riding my mountain bike down the Brocken is really pumping up my adrenaline level but I only do it occasionally by now. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? I have new headphones that I like (Sure SRH 840), but what really moves me is everything my newborn daughter does, even farting and pooping. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? For me as a producer there're two indispensable gadgets, Macbook (with internet connection) and mobile phone. Cliché answer, but also true. And there is THE application, that you can always find a solution with in terms of film postproduction, and that is Autodesk Flame (aka After Effects for grown-ups, no offence). What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? To be honest, since Trump is in office I check youtube a lot for the latest bits of american late night shows (Colbert, Kimmel, Oliver, you name it). I meet my university friends offline, rather than texting/facebooking/instagraming with them, since a lot of them moved to Berlin, too. And in the future there will be more and more playdates with other parents and their kids, I suppose. Monkeys.  What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? I listen to Nils Frahms latest album All Melody on heavy rotation right now, his best one so far. And for everyone who is into Jazz I can recommend Brothers by Adam Baldych & Helge Lien Trio.I am reading two novels right now, Wiener Strasse by Sven Regener and Totenfang by Simon Beckett, as well as some parenting literature. A classic that in my eyes everyone should read or see is Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder from Bertolt Brecht. But don't get me started on movies or tv shows.

Woher kommst du und wohin willst du? Ich komme ursprünglich aus Dinslaken, das auf der Grenze vom Niederrhein und dem Ruhrgebiet liegt. Jetzt wohne ich seit einem halben Jahr in Duisburg und will da auch erstmal nicht weg. Woanders hin will ich schon, aber dann eher für Reisen. Nord- und Südamerika am liebsten. Was langweilt dich zu Tode und was lässt deinen Adrenalinpegel steigen? Lange alleine Auto fahren. Voll öde. Mein Adrenalinpegel steigt ordentlich bei nem guten Film oder ner guten Serie. Ich sag nur Game of Thrones Staffel 4 Folge 8. Was ist dein aktuelles Objekt der Begierde und was bewegt dich wirklich? Eine selbst gestaltete New Era Cap von newerabyyou.com wäre schon ziemlich sweet. Bewegen tun mich lustige Filme, bevorzugt mit Will Ferrell oder Seth Rogen, spannende Serien von denen man an einem verregneten Tag auch gern mal ne ganze Staffel schafft, und etwas handwerkliches an meiner Wohnung zu machen, bevorzugt mit meiner Makita Ausrüstung. Welches Gadget ist unentbehrlich und welche Applikation hat immer eine Lösung parat? Ich weiß jetzt nicht unbedingt ob ein Blu-ray player ein Gadget ist, aber ohne den wär es schon ziemlich mies. Die Applikation, die wirklich immer was passendes für mich im Angebot hat ist watchever. Mal sehen, was Netflix demnächst so auffährt. Ohne Frage 9gag.com :D In echt besuche ich gern meinen drei Wochen alten Neffen oder andere Familienangehörige (meine Familie ist riesig). Was liest und hörst du momentan und welche Standardwerke möchtest du nicht missen? Lesen tue ich relativ selten. Ich wollte mich jetzt demnächst aber mal an "A Song of Ice and Fire" setzen. Mal gucken, was das gibt. Ich höre momentan viel "Childish Gambino" und "Kendrick Lamar". Standardwerke die ich nicht missen möchte ...? Also Harry Potter hab ich gelesen ... Woher kommst du und wohin willst du? Nach meinem Abitur war ich für ein Jahr in Dallas als Au Pair. Danach zog es mich zurück in die Heimat, das schöne Koblenz, um dort eine Ausbildung in einer Werbeagentur zu absolvieren, bevor ich dann mein Studium „International Business“ in Düsseldorf begonnen habe. Zurück aus meinem Auslandssemester in Spanien zog es mich direkt auf die kreative Insel. Wir werden sehen, wo es mich danach hintreibt. Monotonie ist todlangweilig! Reisen find ich super und außergewöhnliche Orte können einem den Atem rauben. Mein Nachbar sorgt definitiv im negativen Sinne für einen viel zu hohen Adrenalinpegel. Was ist dein aktuelles Objekt der Begierde und was bewegt dich wirklich? Mein Objekt der Begierde, seit Kindertagen: ein eigener Hund! Freunde und Familie bewegen mich am meisten. Welcher Domain stattest du täglich einen Besuch ab und wem gerne in echt? Instagram. In echt chille ich gerne mit Freunden – egal wo, ob in Kneipen mit Bierchen oder beim gemütlichen Kochen. How would you want to develop your talents?I have a lot of experience in social media and influencer marketing, media and have an analytic but creative mind. I think that can be useful in some ways. I’m reliable, organized, goal-oriented and love to work in a friendly, collaborative team. I hope to work across many different projects so I can learn from my peers and build on my skills. For example waiting for people, standing in a line is not my favourite thing to do. Therefore, I love punctuality! Especially traveling ramps my adrenaline level. I love to discover beautiful places and explore new cultures. Actually when the airplane takes off and I know it is a start of a new adventure. But also good interior design. Right now I’d like to have a great start to my career, to settle well in Berlin and to have positive and exciting experiences. This desire moves me finally to pack up my stuff and travel up north. Ignoring red lights on crossroads (sometimes, haha). Riding close to objects. Pushing your adrenaline level can be real fun. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? To beat the climb of the infamous Mont Ventoux this month. Makin’ moves moves me. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My technics 1210er are indispensable. I can trust them and they will run forever. There is an app called “Streichholz ziehen” If you don’t find a solution – grab a “Streichholz”. Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Honestly, vimeo.com is the place to go. Sometimes it’s really hard to keep updated because so many new videos are uploaded every day. But a perfect day should start and end with a nice video which reminds us of the reason why we’re working in this field of work. Cause we simply love beautiful things. I love to meet friends in personal. All day long we’re staring at displays whether it’s a computer or cellphone display. It’s a refreshing feeling to turn it off and enjoy analogue things. If it’s cooking or playing some music. In my opinion it can be really efficient and satisfying to work with friends or colleagues on ideas which are not limited by the speed of the internet. Currently I’m into „Come into my kitchen“ which is a book about the early techno scene of frankfurt. It gives a clear image about how and why everything started and how the club „Robert Johnson“ became one of the best in the world. It also topics the quest to create „the“ perfect sound. I bring a diverse skill set in both concept and production which I’ve adopted during my dual studies and freelance work. I’d like to develop my skills in cross-medial conception and get a better understanding of the processes of big campaigns. What bores you to death and what ramps up your adrenaline level? Watching TV, waste of time. The moment you finally step up to present your ideas to the client What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? A BMW R nine T motorbike, to calmly cruise the mountain roads where I come from. What moves and motivates me most is the desire to learn and evolve, and a certain curiosity to understand how things work and why people do what they do. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My bose mini speaker, music is the easiest and best way to connect to people. None, nothing always has a solution, you need to search for it. What website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? TED.com, they have awesome talks on a lot of topics. My friends to do sports or go for drinks at a bar together, and my Belgian girlfriend of course. What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? What are the works you wouldn’t want anyone to miss? The books of Jussi Adler-Olsen, he manages to shape the personalities of the characters perfectly. For music my taste is quite wide, everything from classic music to deep house. Two classics would be „Nostos“ from Jean-Michel Blais and „Sorry I’m late“ from Kollektiv Turmstrasse.

The way my favorite soccer team is playing can do both to me. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? I'm moving myself. I don't necessarily need an object of desire to be able to achieve something. The true goals and motivation naturally come from inside. But I love team work and achieving common goals together makes even more fun than becoming the desired objects just for myself. I must admit, I read mostly blogs, or watch TED talks, but the recent book I read on vacations was quite cool. It was a biography of Elon Musk and I think it could be interesting for many people. Born and bred in Düsseldorf, I studied Textile and Clothing Management, worked for the manager of a Punk band and spent the last years in gastronomy and event management. My useful skills: communication and organization skills, connecting and supporting people, being a patient and flexible team player. Not-so-useful-but-fun-skill: imitating accents and dialects. I like the unexpected, new challenges and thinking out of the box. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Always an object of desire: New shoes. And bags. And dresses. Smartphone aber eine App die immer eine Lösung parat hat… am ehesten die Google App.. Welcher Domain stattest du täglich einen Besuch ab und wem gerne in echt? Google, facebook, heise und ja ich stehe wenigstens dazu bild.de. Privat besuche ich neben dem Supermarkt um die Ecke meist meine Familie und Freunde. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? Professionally I find slow overloaded websites boring. What bores and ramps my adrenaline level at the same time are shows like "gossip girl", when my S.O. watches them I go crazy. On the one side I'm bored as hell, because they aren't thrilling. I mean six seasons about relationships of young people who got to much money from their parents, all played by lousy actors... really? What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Hm, my current object of desire would be, if we stick to material objects, a Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500. But besides that I really want a good house, a large garden. Simply a place where I can live in peace and happiness. Could sound stupid but I'm that kind of guy.. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My mobile-phone is most important but not indispensable. And I don't have an application that gives me solutions, my father does, his solutions might be more ore less helpful but after all they're solutions. Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Mostly Youtube and 9gag. Youtube, because I don't/can't watch normal TV and youtube has more than enough to watch. 9gag, because between piles of sh*** there are a few flowers which really rise my mood. I'm meeting my friends of course. I got so many of them my mother stopped memorizing their names. What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  Currently I'm reading the Percy Jackson books. Yes they're books for children but I like fantasy and mythology und they are extremely well written. My favorite music is rock. Mostly Billy Talent, but in my daily playlists are tracks of all genres, rap, jazz, dubstep, R'n'B. A classic no one should miss Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin, a brilliant song. I play guitar for almost 14 years now, this is still the best song to learn.

Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a small town (most people would call it a village, but we locals would like to believe that it is a small town) in Lithuania. I’m heading towards a very bright future (or just a very bright monitor in front of me). What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Butter smooth animation and childish enthusiasm of course. I would like to develop my storytelling skills more (make people cry, laugh or just sit in silence for few minutes and then call for their parents and cry and laugh).  What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you? What I desire the most is: time – time to do more things. I'm constantly learning to manage my time better and more efficiently. Honesty is what moves me the most. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I’m a day dreamer, many exciting things happen inside my head, so actually I’m never bored. Only a few times in my life have I ever experienced a real adrenaline rush. Once, while I was drowning as a child in frozen pond, second time happened in Siberian mountains on white water rafting trip (went overboard and was carried away in freezing water for a few kilometers), and my most recent adrenaline experience happened when a car hit my bicycle and I landed with the back of my head on asphalt (had a helmet on – didn’t feel a thing). So probably my adrenaline ramps up when I encounter life threatening situations (or very cold water. Also, when Germany won the world cup, that was extremely exciting for me! And to ramp my adrenaline frequently I just search for things I´ve never done before. Some weeks ago I started working as a university lecturer and teach “Corporate & Product Branding” at RFH in Cologne. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?  To live a life on which I can look back at the age of 80, sitting in my hover rocking chair and hear me saying: “Lucky me, I´ve just been happy.” What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? My iWatch has been my most dispensable gadget. I think about buying Alexa, cause even if I love writing I like to find some ways to avoid using my keyboard whole day long. I like a mix of creative tech stuff and social topics, for example t3n and Edition-F are two of my favorites. Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I come from a tranquil village near Paderborn called Lippstadt. After stops in the Sauerland and Ruhr region I stranded in Düsseldorf. What skills would you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? Intentness, self-dependance and readiness of mind. I won’t lose my organising abilities even in stressful situations. A strong coffee and black humour are my weapons against chaos taking over. I'm almost never bored in my leisure time – and if I that would happen I’d call it luxury. What’s your current object of desire, and what really moves you?I have no list of objects of desire. At my last station, Boros, I had the chance to develop websites for artists and museums – not only brands and companies, with a lot of front-end work involved. Now I’m heading to the island. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I have ten years of experience in web development. I would describe myself as a target-focused teamplayer, with a lot love for details and a solid feeling for what works digitally. My focus ist still front-end but I’m really looking forward to exchanging knowledge with our team and client. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? What books and music are you enjoying at the moment?  Vicky Baum’s “Liebe und Tod auf Bali" sounds trashy but is a good historical novel about the life in Bali on the beginning of the 20th century. I’m a total Bali fan. Where do you come from, and where are you headed? I was born in Krefeld and grew up in the little town Straelen (actually in the rural village Broekhuysen just outside of Straelen) near the border to the Netherlands. My parents and my aunt and uncle rebuilt an old farm house with lots of cows and trees around it. I still love to spend the weekends there. Right now I'm content with my situation but some day I want to travel to New Zealand (despite my fear of flying). What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I'm an experienced developer, both for frontend and backend. My uncle gave me my first computer (an old 286 machine which he didn't need anymore), and so my future in coding was decided. I love to learn new things about coding and gain new knowledge. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? I hate to just maintain things, I just have to improve them. I hate waiting (especially for delayed trains) and I can't cope with stupid people. Dealing with taxes and bureaucracy are not really my thing either. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Right now I really want a bigger TV for my new flat. ;) Good stories and books move me, I can spend hours with them. What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? All things Apple. I can't live without my iPhone (I would get lost everywhere, because I have no orientation). Before I joined Parasol I used to work for McCann Worldgroup and Kunst & Kollegen, both within the finance department. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? I know how to structure myself and how to prioritise my tasks. I am not an expert beeing on center stage, but I know how to assume responsibility of what is important for my job. Furthermore a familiar atmosphere and the team I work with is really important to me.  What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level? There is no certain thing, which makes me bored. I think each situation can bring you further. I like to rethink given structures and to develop new processes, which can make work more efficient.. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you? Every day brings different events on private and business level, that keeps me moving and staying flexibel and open-minded.  What gadget is indispensable and which application always has a solution? As a mom, my phone is my gadget... to talk to my friends, to organise all appointments around my kids and just to be uptodate. Which website do you visit frequently? I like to surf on fashion and interior-based websites, like Pinterest, Monoqi and a lot of Blog-websites. But I love to rummage in home improvement stores, especially in the Netherlands. Where do you come from, and where are you headed? Born in Haltern am See raised in Dülmen, probably known for a species which does not exist in any other part of Europe. Wild horses in Merfelder Bruch - a flat and broad land with its own appeal, which Goethe called simply ‚the grandeur of the plain‘. I studied in Münster and worked in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, Berlin and Munich. I'm not sure what’s next but I could imagine to live in the sunshine state of California. Not sure if this gonna happen but I pretty much like it on the island. What skills do you bring to the company? How would you want to develop your talents? The first contact went through a headhunter but I know the island from this playful ‚Jades‘ website. Years later I sent a spontaneous application. It’s the will. Growing up with the internet, spending a lot of time online and having witnessed about every Social Media platform there is and was, I'll try my best to support the Social Media team with my knowledge. In the past I've had quite some contacts with community management, influencer relations, content production as well as internal and external communications and CMS maintenance. I'd love to be able to bundle all my experience and sharpen my expertise. What bores you to death and what ramps your adrenaline level?What bores me to death? Repetitive days, months, decades of doing the same - without any improvement, without any change. There's no progress without trying something new. And no fun. But I love being creative and I always get pumped up when a simple or stupid idea suddenly turns into a rolling stone and a splendid materialisation. What's your current object of desire, and what really moves you?' I'm moved by good books, well written words and good coffee. Also by music and lyrics and by awesome scenery, as well as good food, especially well-made cinnamon rolls! On a 3 week road trip through Australia I licked blood and now I cannot wait to plan my next road trip, be it Australia, Canada or the Tuscany. I will never leave home without my smartphone - it's really become indispensable for me and a great tool to gather everything necessary in one place. I'm also a huge supporter of collective intelligence, so for me the applications that always have a solution would be google and twitter. Which website do you visit frequently? Whom do you meet offline? Twitter and YouTube are my main sources for news as well as satirical comments to said news. I'm also a sucker for beautiful pictures on Instagram. Whom do I meet online? This question made me think a bit. Let's say my boyfriend (duh, we're living together, so that's obvious), my best girlfriends from school whom I still love very dearly (15 years of friendship and counting, yay!), as well as my friends from dance school (where I used to work part-time). What books and music are you enjoying at the moment? I recently fell in love with the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series (Rick Riordan), but don't take my word as a recommendation for great literature. I just happen to LOVE young adults novel and this series is especially good since it combines sharp humour with mythological topics. I also started reading Six of Crows (Leigh Bardugo) and A Court of Thorns and Roses (Sarah J. Maas), another two young adult novels. A super interesting read is The Circle by Dave Eggers, which deals with some kind of Social Media Dystopia, in my opinion a really relevant topic. I would always recommend people to read the following: Norwegian Wood (Haruki Murakami), Memoires of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), die Stadt der träumenden Bücher (Water Moers), Child Thief (Gerald Brom) and The Humans (Matt Haig). As for classics, I will never get tired of reading Peter Pan, Little Women, 1984 and of course the Harry Potter series. ... After overwhelming you with my bad taste in literature, I decided it's best not to spam you with my everlasting love for music (especially Alternative, Indie, Pop and songs with beautiful lyrics.)
