GMail als Standard Mailclient

Um Gmail als Standard-Mailclient für E-Mail-Links (mailto:) im Wiki und anderen Websites einzustellen, müssen folgende Schritte durchgeführt werden:

Im wesentlichen geht es darum den Browser Handler richtig zu konfigurieren:

Install

Open gmail.com, click on the diamond icon(1), activate the radio button next to "Allow/Zulassen" (2), click on the "Done/Fertig" (3) button.

Troubleshooting

Open chrome://settings/handlers (1), click on the 3 dots next to the Gmail entry (2), select remove (3), restart Chrome and install again.

Firefox

Öffne die Browsereinstellungen mit Command + , und klicke auf "Anwendungen"
wähle dort für mailto Links die Option "Mit Gmail öffnen".

Safari

Installiere die Erweiterung Mailto (https://sites.google.com/site/mailtoextension/mailto.safariextz)
Wähle "Gmail" aus der Liste von Optionen
Starte deinen Browser neu
