Cameras at PSL

Parasol Island (PSL) provides you with camera equipment to ease in-house photo- and video-shoots.
Everyone at PSL can "rent" and use these cameras for their projects.

Camera Rent

Instead of a centralized "rental-station" we have a decentralized system: each camera is guarded and maintained by a "godfather".
No, not a mafia boss, but instead someone who often uses the camera and thus takes good care of it.

Each camera comes packed in a "ready-to-use"-bag with all the typically needed accessories such as lenses, memory-cards and cleaning-kit.
Just go and ask the godfather if you need a camera for your project. Please plan well in advance to allow for proper scheduling.

Camera Gear

Here is a quick overview of the available camera packages and their contents:

Use-Case Camera Lenses Accessories Godfather PSL Office

24mp Photos // HD-Video Nikon D750 24-70mm bag, 2x64GB SD Memory Cards & Cleaning Kit Fabian Grodde PSL DUS - Hinterhaus EG
4K- and HD-Video Sony FS-5 18-105mm plus Metabones adaptor for all Nikon lenses bag, especially fast Memory Cards, shoulder mount, handgrip, microphone, etc. Sven Richter PSL DUS - Slang Office

On top there are often a few private cameras in the office for the rare emergency situation, just ask around.

Policy

Please handle with care. Please treat it better than you'd treat your own camera. Try to minimize dust in the camera, smear on the lens and wear on the body.
Keep batteries charged. Remove your data from the memory-cards right after use, as cards will be formatted before each new use.
Always return the kit back to its godfather a) complete and b) ready to use for the next shoot.
Thank you!
